Regulatory mechanism of O‐linked N‐acetylglucosamine protein modification on autophagy in cancer

open access: yesClinical and Translational Medicine, Volume 16, Issue 1, January 2026.
O‐GlcNAcylation serves as a nutrient and stress sensor that dynamically regulates autophagy at multiple stages in cancer cells. It fine‐tunes autophagy initiation, maturation and fusion by modifying key proteins such as ULK1, ATG4B and SNAP‐29. Context‐dependent O‐GlcNAcylation promotes tumour adaptation and therapy resistance via autophagy remodelling.

Circular RNAs in Diabetic Foot Ulcers: A Scoping Review of Clinical, Preclinical, and In Silico Evidence on Diagnostic and Therapeutic Potentials

open access: yesEndocrinology, Diabetes &Metabolism, Volume 9, Issue 1, January 2026.
This figure summarises circRNAs identified as therapeutic or pathogenic targets in animal models of diabetic foot ulcers. Protective circRNAs delivered via exosomes, hypoxia‐preconditioned exosomes, or lipid nanoparticles promote angiogenesis, autophagy, and oxidative stress resistance. In contrast, silencing of pathogenic circRNAs such as circ_0005654

Modulating Neurotoxic Effects of Prenatal Chlorpyrifos Exposure Through Probiotic and Vitamin D Gestational Supplementation: Unexpected Effects on Neurodevelopment and Sociability

open access: yesFood Frontiers, Volume 7, Issue 1, January 2026.
This study investigates whether gestational probiotic and vitamin D supplementation can mitigate CPF effects in Wistar rats. While supplementation did not reverse CPF‐induced deficits, it induced notable neurodevelopmental changes in control animals, underscoring the need for further research on prenatal supplementation safety.

Biochemical and Comparative Proteomic Analyses Delineate the Anti‐Ovarian Carcinogenic Roles of Modified Calycosin

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 14, Issue 1, January 2026.
The modified calycosin derivative H10 was more effective in inhibiting cell proliferation through G0/G1 cell cycle arrest, together with inhibiting the migration and colony formation abilities of ovarian cancer cell lines SKOV3 and A2780. Comparative proteomic analysis coupled with Ingenuity Pathway Analysis further delineated calycosin derivative H10 ...

The Antioxidant and Antiaging Properties of Maillard Reaction Products Derived From Dipeptide Lys–Leu in Caenorhabditis elegans

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 14, Issue 1, January 2026.
Lys–Leu MRPs heat‐treated for 2 h exhibited high antioxidant activity in vitro. A treatment with Lys–Leu MRPs extends the lifespan and health span of C. elegans by regulating ROS levels through their inherent antioxidant activity and the IIS pathway.
