Microscopic Insight of the High‐Entropy Effect on the Lithium Storage Performance and Rate Capability of Spinel Oxide

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
A novel high‐entropy spinel oxide (Fe0.2Co0.2Ni0.2Cr0.2Zn0.2)3O4 with exceptional electrochemical properties was synthesized. DFT calculations and experimental results both demonstrate that the multi‐metal synergistic effect and high‐entropy effect collectively enhance the material's electrical conductivity and rate performance.

Ultra‐Strong, Fire‐Resistant and Eco‐Friendly Bamboo Composites Based on Cell Wall Polymer Decoration Engineering

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
Modification of bamboo cell walls using chemical in‐situ bonding was carried out, while optimizing the arrangement of bamboo fibers. Additionally, an N‐P‐B flame retardant system was formed within the bamboo material to develop an ultra‐strong flame retardant bamboo‐based composite.

Fortification

open access: yes

Promoting Stakeholder Interaction to Facilitate Wildfire Management: Insights From a Case Study in Monreale, Sicily

open access: yesEnvironmental Policy and Governance, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Wildfires in Southern European Mediterranean regions, exacerbated by climatic conditions and human activity, pose significant threats to ecosystems and human well‐being. Current fire management policies tend to prioritize fire exclusion, neglecting traditional land use practices and socio‐ecological interactions underlying the human–fire ...

The Potential for Bouillon Fortification to Reduce Dietary Micronutrient Inadequacy: Modeling Analyses Using National Survey Data from Cameroon, Ghana, and Haiti

open access: yesCurrent Developments in Nutrition
Background: Bouillon is commonly consumed in some countries where micronutrient deficiencies are prevalent, but it has not been widely adopted as a micronutrient fortification vehicle.
