AbstractThis paper presents a hierarchical coordinated control algorithm for integrating active front steering and four‐wheel independently driving control. In the higher‐level controller, an adaptive siding mode control law and a coordination law for adjusting the yaw rate and slip angle control priorities are applied to determine the desired front ...

The power control system of the four-wheel independent drive electric vehicle
2011 International Conference on Remote Sensing, Environment and Transportation Engineering, 2011The power control system of the self-made four-wheel independent drive electric vehicle is introduced, and the centralized control strategy of the drive motors is mainly analyzed. The experimental result shows that the electric vehicle can run stably under various defined work mode, and fulfills the basic motion request.

Analysis of the Lateral Stability for Four-Wheel Independent Driving Electric Vehicles
Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2014The four-wheel independent driving EVs have been considered as the hot spot due to their excellent controlling capability of the driving force distribution in recent years. In order to achieve the excellent control capability of electric drive systems, the mechanical properties and performance need to be investigated and evaluated.
