CCR5 and FPR1 Mediate Neutrophil Recruitment in Endotoxin-Induced Lung Injury [PDF]
Recruitment of neutrophils, regarded as a key mechanism in acute lung injury (ALI), is orchestrated by cell adhesion molecules and chemokines. While the importance of cell adhesion molecules has been carefully investigated, little is known about the importance of chemokines and their receptors in the recruitment of neutrophils in models of ALI.

Elucidating the contribution of gut‐organ axes will provide new insights for developing combined therapeutic strategies against sepsis‐associated multiple organ dysfunction. ABSTRACT Sepsis, a life‐threatening clinical syndrome precipitated by a maladaptive host response to infection, is associated with substantial morbidity and high mortality rates ...

Evidence for a Two‐Step Model for Activation of GPR25 by the Chemoattractant CXCL17
ABSTRACT CXCL17 was recently reported to activate GPR25, a receptor expressed by T‐regulatory cells. Although classified as a chemokine, the activity of CXCL17 is ablated by minor C‐terminal truncation, suggesting a novel mode of receptor activation. We set out to test this hypothesis by mutagenesis. GPR25 was expressed in the murine pre‐B cell line L1.

Background The biological behavior of epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC) is unique since EOC cells metastasize early to the peritoneum. Thereby, new anti-target agents designed to block trans-coelomic dissemination of EOC cells may be useful as anti ...

ABSTRACT Background Pyroptosis is a recently identified form of programmed cell death that plays an important role in cancer initiation and progression. However, the function of pyroptosis in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) remains unclear. The study integrated proteomic and single‐cell RNA sequence (scRNA‐seq) data to investigate the potential role of ...

Compartment‐Specific Immune Remodeling of Renal Aging With C1q‐Associated Podocyte Activation
Aging repatterns the renal immune response in a compartment‐specific manner, distinct from chronic kidney disease (CKD) adaptation. Glomerular aging features C1q‐associated podocyte activation and macrophage engagement, whereas tubulointerstitial aging is marked by B‐cell aggregation and tertiary lymphoid structure expansion.

The Role of Formyl Peptide Receptor 1 in Uterine Contraction During Parturition
Parturition involves the transformation of the quiescent myometrium into a highly excitable and contractile state, a process that is driven by changes in myometrial gene expression.
