DDIT4 upregulation associates with gammadelta T Cells dysfunction in ART-suppressed people living with HIV-1 [PDF]
BMC Infectious DiseasesBackground Antiretroviral therapy (ART) effectively suppresses HIV-1 replication, yet T cell dysfunction persists in ART-suppressed people living with HIV-1 (PLWH).

Expansion of Gammadelta T Cells from Cord Blood: A Therapeutical Possibility [PDF]
Stem Cells International, 2018 Gammadelta (γδ) T cells are found in both blood and tissues and have antiviral and antitumor properties. The frequency of γδ T cells in umbilical cord blood (UCB) is low, and the majority express δ1, in contrast to blood, whereas the main subset is δ2γ9 ...

Obesity and cancer: the gammadelta T cell link
Exploration of Immunology, 2022 Obesity has become a worldwide scourge, affecting more than 10% of adults worldwide. While widely recognized to be associated with increased incidence of medical conditions such as diabetes mellitus and atherosclerosis, obesity also accounts for 9% of ...

Efficacy of natural killer T and gammadelta T cells in mesothelin-targeted immunotherapy of pancreatic cancer [PDF]
Frontiers in ImmunologyCurrent pancreatic cancer immunotherapy focused on alphabeta (αβ) T cells, either through CD3-engaged bispecific antibodies or CAR-T. Despite their promise, dose-limited toxicity (DLT) remains a challenge in clinical practice. In light of these concerns,

Generation and preclinical characterization of a novel bispecific CD19-TCRgammadelta antibody for the treatment of B cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia [PDF]
Frontiers in ImmunologyIntroductionB-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL) is characterized by the clonal expansion of immature lymphoblastic cells. Treating patients with disease relapse is challenging, especially after allogeneic stem cell transplantation (aSCT ...

Gammadelta T cells are reduced and rendered unresponsive by hyperglycemia and chronic TNFalpha in mouse models of obesity and metabolic disease. [PDF]
PLoS ONE, 2010 Epithelial cells provide an initial line of defense against damage and pathogens in barrier tissues such as the skin; however this balance is disrupted in obesity and metabolic disease.

NK cells and gammadelta T cells mediate resistance to polyomavirus-induced tumors. [PDF]
PLoS Pathogens, 2010 NK and gammadelta T cells can eliminate tumor cells in many experimental models, but their effect on the development of tumors caused by virus infections in vivo is not known.

The spliceosomal phosphopeptide P140 controls the lupus disease by interacting with the HSC70 protein and via a mechanism mediated by gammadelta T cells. [PDF]
PLoS ONE, 2009 The phosphopeptide P140 issued from the spliceosomal U1-70K snRNP protein is recognized by lupus CD4(+) T cells, transiently abolishes T cell reactivity to other spliceosomal peptides in P140-treated MRL/lpr mice, and ameliorates their clinical features.
