A new ganoderic acid from Ganoderma lucidum mycelia

Journal of Asian Natural Products Research, 2010
A new ganoderic acid (GA), 7-O-ethyl ganoderic acid O (GA-O) (1), together with two known compounds, GA-T (2) and GA-Me (3), was isolated and purified from fermented mycelia of Ganoderma lucidum. The structure of the new triterpenoid was elucidated on the basis of the interpretation of extensive spectroscopic data (HR-MS, IR, UV, 1D and 2D NMR) as 3 ...

[Pharmacokinetics of ganoderic acids].

Zhongguo Zhong yao za zhi = Zhongguo zhongyao zazhi = China journal of Chinese materia medica, 2019
Ganoderic acid(GA) is one of main bioactive components produced by Ganoderma lucidum, which a traditional Chinese herbal medicine and a kind of tracyclic triterpene lanosterol derivatives with highly oxidized structure. It has a variety of important pharmacological activities, such as anticancer,immunoregulation,anti-oxidation,anti-diabetes and anti-HIV.

Effects of Exogenous Salicylic Acid on Ganoderic Acid Biosynthesis and the Expression of Key Genes in the Ganoderic Acid Biosynthesis Pathway in the Lingzhi or Reishi Medicinal Mushroom, Ganoderma lucidum (Agaricomycetes)

International Journal of Medicinal Mushrooms, 2017
We demonstrate herein that salicylic acid (SA) can enhance ganoderic acid (GA) accumulation in the lingzhi or reishi medicinal mushroom Ganoderma lucidum. Following treatment with different concentrations of SA, the GA content was increased 22.72% to 43.04% compared with the control group.

Experimental and Theoretical Study of the Raman Spectra of Ganoderic Acid T

Journal of Structural Chemistry, 2019
Ganoderic acid T (GAT) has many pharmacological functions such as antitumor and antimycobacterial activity. However, to the best of our knowledge, no commercial high-purity GAT is available and the experimental and theoretical study of Raman spectrum of GAT has never been reported up to date. Therefore, in this work, GAT was extracted and purified from

Anti-hepatitis B activities of ganoderic acid from Ganoderma lucidum

Biotechnology Letters, 2006
Ganoderic acid, from Ganoderma lucidum, at 8 microg/ml inhibited replication of hepatitis B virus (HBV) in HepG2215 cells over 8 days. Production of HBV surface antigen and HBV e antigen were 20 and 44% of controls without ganoderic acid. Male KM mice were significantly protected from liver injury, induced with carbon tetrachloride, by treatment with ...

Preparative isolation of ganoderic acid S, ganoderic acid T and ganoderol B from Ganoderma lucidum mycelia by high‐speed counter‐current chromatography

Biomedical Chromatography, 2018
AbstractGanoderic acid S, ganoderic acid T and ganoderal B are the main bioactive triterpenes of Ganoderma lucidum. In this study, mycelia of G. lucidum were obtained by two‐stage fermentation and then extracted by ethanol and petroleum ether sequentially to obtain crude triterpenes. The crude sample was further purified by recycling high‐speed counter‐

Targeting HSP90 destabilization with ganoderic acid a as a novel therapeutic strategy for hepatoblastoma

International Journal of Biological Macromolecules
Hepatoblastoma (HB) is the most prevalent primary liver malignancy in children and is characterized by aggressive progression and suboptimal therapeutic outcomes. Despite advances in multimodal treatment strategies, the prognosis of high-risk or relapsed HB remains poor, highlighting an urgent need for novel and effective therapeutic approaches ...

Ganoderic acid A: an in-depth review of pharmacological effects and molecular docking analysis

Journal of Ethnopharmacology
Ganoderic acid A (GAA, C30H44O7) is one of the most abundant and active components of Ganoderic acids (GAs). GAs are highly oxidized tetracyclic triterpenoid compounds mainly derived from Ganoderma lucidum (Curtis) P. Karst (Chinese: ). GAA is primarily isolated from the fruiting body of Ganoderma lucidum.
