Multi‐Omics Analysis Reveals the Potential Preventive Mechanism of Lactobacillus salivarius Li01 Against L‐Arginine‐Induced Acute Pancreatitis in Mice

open access: yesMicrobial Biotechnology, Volume 19, Issue 1, January 2026.
This study reveals that Lactobacillus salivarius Li01 alleviates acute pancreatitis by increasing gut Paramuribaculum. This modulation of the microbiota and its steroid hormone metabolites suppresses the pancreatic TNF signaling pathway, uncovering a protective ‘gut‐metabolism‐immunity’ axis.

Ganoderic acid and its derivatives as cholesterol synthesis inhibitors.

open access: yesChemical and Pharmaceutical Bulletin, 1989
Oxygenated lanosterol derivatives, which were isolated from Ganoderma lucidum (Polyporaceae) or their derivatives obtained by chemical conversion, were tested for their effect on cholesterol biosynthesis from 24,25-dihydrolanosterol by rat hepatic subcellular 10,000 x g supernatant fraction.

A detailed comparative study between chemical and bioactive properties of Ganoderma lucidum from different origins [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
A detailed comparative study on chemical and bioactive properties of wild and cultivated Ganoderma lucidum from Serbia (GS) and China (GCN) was performed. This species was chosen because of their worldwide use as medicinal mushroom.

Systemic Effect of Ganoderma lucidum Filtrate on Septoria Leaf Spot and Pycnidia Formation by Septoria lycopersici

open access: yesJournal of Phytopathology, Volume 174, Issue 1, January/February 2026.
ABSTRACT This study aimed to evaluate the potential of the mycelial growth filtrate (MGF) from Ganoderma lucidum in providing systemic protection to tomato plants against Septoria lycopersici‐induced leaf spot and inhibiting the production of reproductive structures by the phytopathogen. In greenhouse experiments, foliar application of MGF at 40% (v/v)

Medicinal Plants and Lead Phytomolecules as Immunomodulators: An Updated Review

open access: yesBioMed Research International, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
All therapeutic interventions aimed at modulating the immune response to pathogens, self‐antigens, carcinogens, or xenogeneic antigens are referred to as immunomodulation, which either prevents hyperactivation or restores the appropriate response of the immune system.

Ganoderic Acid A Alleviates High‐Fat Diet‐Induced Lipid Metabolism Disorders in Mice by Inhibiting Intestinal Farnesoid X Receptor

open access: yesFood Frontiers, Volume 6, Issue 6, Page 3108-3121, November 2025.
Ganoderic acid A (GA) improved lipid metabolism disorders by inhibiting intestinal FXR. GA markedly suppressed the ileal intestinal FXR activity. Then, GA changed bile acid composition and upregulated hepatic Cyp7a1 mRNA through decreasing FXR target genes encoded protein levels.

Antiangiogenic compounds: well-established drugs versus emerging natural molecules [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Angiogenesis is the natural and physiologic process of growing blood vessels from pre-existing ones. Pathological angiogenesis occurs when the precise balance of all the molecular pathways that regulate angiogenesis is disrupted, and this process is a ...

Phytofabricated Silver Nanoparticles From Vaccinium arctostaphylos L.: Anticancer Activity Against Breast Cancer Cells via Apoptosis Induction and Growth Suppression

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 13, Issue 11, November 2025.
This study demonstrates that phytofabricated silver nanoparticles (VACAgNPs) from Vaccinium arctostaphylos L. exhibit significant anticancer activity against breast cancer cells, inducing apoptosis and suppressing growth in both hormone‐responsive (MCF‐7) and triple‐negative (4T1, MDA‐MB‐231) subtypes. The nanoparticles enhanced reactive oxygen species
