Onecut-dependent Nkx6.2 transcription factor expression is required for proper formation and activity of spinal locomotor circuits. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
In the developing spinal cord, Onecut transcription factors control the diversification of motor neurons into distinct neuronal subsets by ensuring the maintenance of Isl1 expression during differentiation.

Decoding the Pathophysiology of Autoimmune Diseases—Mechanism, Triggers, and Nanotherapeutics: A Review

open access: yesAdvanced NanoBiomed Research, EarlyView.
This review highlights how autoimmune diseases arise from intertwined immunological, genetic, and environmental factors, emphasizing gut microbiota dysbiosis as a pivotal driver. It outlines emerging nanotechnology‐based strategies—such as liposomes, hydrogels, and polymeric nanoparticles—that enhance targeted drug delivery, minimize systemic toxicity,

GATA3 induces human T-cell commitment by restraining Notch activity and repressing NK-cell fate [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
The gradual reprogramming of haematopoietic precursors into the T-cell fate is characterized by at least two sequential developmental stages. Following Notch1-dependent T-cell lineage specification during which the first T-cell lineage genes are ...

Interleukin‐5, Eosinophils, and Interleukin‐5 Pathway Inhibitors in Eosinophilic Granulomatosis With Polyangiitis

open access: yesArthritis &Rheumatology, EarlyView.
Interlukin‐5 (IL‐5) plays a crucial role in the pathogenesis of eosinophilic granulomatosis with polyangiitis (EGPA) by promoting eosinophil differentiation, activation, and survival. We present here a typical case of EGPA in which treatment with IL‐5 pathway inhibitors is prescribed, showing to be beneficial for the patient.

Long Noncoding RNA GATA3-AS1 Promotes Cell Proliferation and Metastasis in Hepatocellular Carcinoma by Suppression of PTEN, CDKN1A, and TP53

open access: yesCanadian Journal of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, 2019
Background. Long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) have been known to play important roles in the progression of various types of human cancer. LncRNA GATA3 antisense RNA 1, GATA3-AS1, has been reported to be associated with T-cell development and differentiation.

Structure and Expression of the Human GATA3 Gene

open access: yesGenomics, 1994
GATA3, a member of the GATA family that is abundantly expressed in the T-lymphocyte lineage, is thought to participate in T-cell receptor gene activation through binding to enhancers. To understand GATA3 gene regulation, we cloned the human gene and the 5' end of the mouse GATA3 gene.

Single‐Cell RNA Sequencing Informs Precision Targeting of Monogenic Lupus Associated With IKZF1 Haploinsufficiency

open access: yesArthritis &Rheumatology, EarlyView.
Objective This study aimed to investigate the mechanisms of immune dysregulation in a pediatric patient with monogenic lupus driven by IKZF1 haploinsufficiency. Methods Peripheral immune cells from a patient with IKZF1 haploinsufficiency, patients with lupus with no currently known genetic mutations, and healthy controls were analyzed using single‐cell

Metastatic Cutaneous Adnexal Carcinoma of the Head and Neck With Durable Response to an Aromatase Inhibitor Combined With a Cyclin‐Dependent Kinase 4/6 Inhibitor

open access: yesHead &Neck, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Cutaneous adnexal carcinomas are a very rare group of cancers arising from appendageal structures of the skin. More than half occur in the head and neck region. No standard treatments exist for metastatic disease. Methods A 48‐year‐old postmenopausal female presented with an enlarging scalp lesion.
