Paternal Caffeine Exposure Programs Offspring Stress Vulnerability via Sperm Dlk1‐Dio3 Imprinting‐Directed Remodeling of a Novel Neural Circuit

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The study elucidates that paternal preconception stress can drive offspring hyperresponsivity of the stress system via hypomethylation of a specific DNA region in sperm. This key link is confirmed in a cohort of prospective fathers: the epigenetic alteration is associated with elevated stress hormone levels.

Treatment of pediatric intracranial germ cell tumors: Tiantan experience

open access: yesChinese Journal of Contemporary Neurology and Neurosurgery
Pediatric intracranial germ cell tumors (GCT) are clinically rare but highly heterogeneous tumors, primarily occurring in children and adolescents. The treatment method depends on the tumor type.

Evaluating Human Embryonic Germ Cells: Concord and Conflict as Pluripotent Stem Cells

open access: yesStem Cells, 2005
AbstractThe realization of cell replacement therapy derived from human pluripotent stem cells requires full knowledge of the starting cell types as well as their differentiated progeny. Alongside embryonic stem cells, embryonic germ cells (EGCs) are an alternative source of pluripotent stem cell. Since 1998, four groups have described the derivation of

SpaMode: A Broadly Applicable Framework for Deciphering Spatial Multi‐Omics Using Multimodal Mixture of Disentangled Experts

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
SpaMode introduces a versatile framework for spatial multi‐omics integration across vertical, horizontal, and mosaic scenarios. By disentangling modality‐invariant and variant features through a mixture‐of‐experts mechanism, it adaptively reconfigures spatially heterogeneous signals.

Myeloid p38 activation maintains macrophage–liver crosstalk and BAT thermogenesis through IL‐12–FGF21 axis

open access: yesHepatology, EarlyView., 2022
Physiological activation of myeloid p38 controls macrophage IL‐12 production and crosstalk to the liver by modulating hepatic FGF21, and subsequently, brown adipose tissue thermogenesis during obesity Abstract Obesity features excessive fat accumulation in several body tissues and induces a state of chronic low‐grade inflammation that contributes to ...

Brown Adipocyte Sheets Alleviate Myocardial Ischemia–Reperfusion Injury Through NRG4–ErbB4–Dependent Ferroptosis Inhibition

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Brown adipocyte sheets are engineered to protect the heart against myocardial ischemia–reperfusion injury by restraining ferroptosis. Upon transplantation onto the cardiac surface, they improve cardiac function, limit infarction and fibrosis, and enhance angiogenesis.

Lactoferrin Deficiency During Lactation Causes Adult Obesity‐Related Metabolic Disease Through Persistent Adipose Dysfunction Driven by Impaired Adipocyte Development

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Lactational lactoferrin deficiency exerts lasting effects on epididymal adipose tissue development from lactation into adulthood: it impairs adipocyte hyperplasia and induces pathological hypertrophy, resulting in lower body weight yet exacerbated metabolic dysfunction under a high‐fat diet in adulthood.

Giant Mediastinal Teratoma in a Child: A Case Report With a Brief Review of the Literature

open access: yesClinical Case Reports
Giant mediastinal teratomas in the pediatric population are uncommon entities that may grow insidiously and cause significant compression of intrathoracic structures.

BCMA‐Engineered Dendritic Cell‐Derived Exosomes as Bi‐Functional Therapeutics Orchestrating Cytokine Sequestration and Immune Activation for Multiple Myeloma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A dual‐function cell‐free therapeutic based on DC2.4 cell‐derived exosomes engineered to display BCMA. (Left) Soluble Ligand Sequestration (Decoy Function): DB Exo act as molecular decoys that predominantly sequester soluble APRIL with partial BAFF attenuation, effectively disrupting the NF‐κB survival signaling axis and suppressing myeloma cell ...

Culture of Rabbit Embryonic Germ Cells Derived from Primordial Germ Cells

open access: yesJournal of Applied Animal Research, 2004
Abstract Zhang, R., Chang, W. and Han, J-Y. 2004. Culture of rabbit embryonic germ cells derived from primordial germ cells. J. Appl. Anim. Res., 26: 61–66. Primordial germ cells (PGCs) were developed as new material for isolation and cloning of embryonic stem (ES) cells, which were designated as embryonic germ cells (EG) to distinguish their tissue ...
