Investigations into the use of human embryonal carcinoma stem cells as a model to study dopaminergic neurogenesis [PDF]
Parkinson's disease in reality arises as a result of a complex series of events, however it is strongly linked to the loss of a specific cellular population of midbrain dopaminergic neurons making it a candidate for stem cell based research.

G3BP1 Succinylation at K413 is Critical for Cardiac Function by Modulating PI3K‐AKT‐mTOR Signal Axis
Schematic illustrating the impact of G3BP1 succinylation at K413 on cardiac function. In the healthy human heart, G3BP1 succinylation maintains homeostatic mTOR signaling. In patients with dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM) and heart failure (HF), G3BP1 de‐succinylation induces RagA expression and disrupts the binding of the TSC1/2 complex, leading to the ...

Cell Germ primary tumor of mediastinum (seminoma of mediastinum)
Background: the anterior mediastinal germ cell tumor is a formation of neoplastic cells located in the mediastinum. They are formed by congenital defects in the embryonic stage by migration of the primordial germ cell and dermal cells that are within the

In vitro derivation of germ cells from embryonic stem cells
Embryonic stem cells (ESCs) have the potential to differentiate into cells of all tissue types, as demonstrated by their capability to contribute to the development of all germ layers in chimeras and to form teratomas. Of interest, however, is the lack of evidence of gametogenic gonadal tissues within teratomas, such as testicular tubules or follicles.

This study constructed the first spatiotemporal multi‐omics map of peach fruit and discovered a key candidate gene that synergistically regulates trichome development and drought tolerance through the jasmonic acid signaling pathway, providing insights into the coupling mechanism between development and stress resistance.

Embryonic Stem Cells and the Germ Cell Lineage
Stem cells possess the unique ability to either propagate by self-renewal or to differentiate to mature tissues under the influence of appropriate molecular cues. This remarkable feature, also termed “stem cell potency” has been the focus of both a historical and current research spotlight on stem cells, and particularly the potential for human stem ...

Primordial Germ Cell Specification from Embryonic Stem Cells
Primordial germ cell (PGC) specification is the first crucial step in germ line development. However, owing to significant challenges regarding the in vivo system, such as the complex cellular environment and potential problems with embryo manipulation, it is desirable to generate embryonic stem (ES) cells that are capable of overcoming these ...

Non-seminomatous germ cell tumours
The group of non-seminomatous germ cell tumors can be morphologically and therapeutically distinguished from the group of seminomas. The group of non-seminomatous germ cell tumors includes embryonal carcinoma, yolk sac tumor, choriocarcinoma and teratoma.

Redox‐Dependent Chaperoning of GBF1 Condensates Regulates Seed Germination in Arabidopsis
In dormant seeds (low ROS), GBF1 forms liquid condensates to repress the germination gene CathB3, and the chaperone GIP1 maintains condensate liquidity and repressive activity. Upon imbibition (high ROS), ROS oxidize GIP1 during germination, impairing its chaperone function.
