Ginsenosides from Heat Processed Ginseng
A new dammarane-glycoside, ginsenoside Rz1 (1), was isolated from heat-treated Panax ginseng C. A. MEYER (Araliaceae) with ginsenosides Rk1 and Rg5. The structure of 1 was established to be (Z)-12beta-hydroxydammara-20(22),24-dien-3beta-yl O-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1-->2)-beta-D-glucospyranoside by spectroscopic means.

Saikosaponin A from Radix Bupleuri inhibited colorectal cancer HCT116 cells with low toxicity. SSA induced S/G2‐M cell cycle arrest and triggered autophagy via mTOR inhibition. SSA suppressed metastasis by blocking PI3K/AKT signaling pathway. SSA significantly reduced tumor growth without apparent toxicity.

An intestinal bacterial metabolite (M1) of ginseng protopanaxadiol saponins inhibits tumor-induced neovascularization [PDF]
The present study demonstrated that an intestinal bacterial metabolite (M1) of protopanaxadiol-type ginsenosides significantly inhibited the growth of implanted tumor and the intrahepatic metastasis by the implantation of a small fragment of colon 26-L5 ...

Liver Fibrosis: Molecular Pathogenesis and Therapeutic Interventions
We systematically summarized the etiologies, diagnostic approaches, and pathogenic mechanisms of liver fibrosis. Also, the therapeutic interventions for liver fibrosis were systematically classified into two main categories: etiological treatment and mechanism‐based antifibrotic therapies.
