Efficacy, safety and cost‐effectiveness of CAR‐T therapy

open access: yesBritish Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, EarlyView.
CAR T‐cells demonstrate high efficacy in blood cancers, including ALL, MM and DLBCL. Innovations target solid tumours despite challenges such as antigen escape. Combination therapies enhance the delivery and infiltration of CAR T cells. Toxicity, cost and resistance remain major barriers to clinical use.

Multiple molecular forms of Glia maturation factor

Biochimica Et Biophysica Acta (BBA) - Protein Structure, 1979
Glia maturation factor from the pig brain can be detected in two molecular forms: the high molecular weight form which is 200 000 dalton in size and the low molecular weight form which is 40 000 dalton in size, as determined by Sephadex gel filtration. The former accounts for 85% of the total biological activity extracted at physiologic pH.

Sequential interaction of glia maturation factor with insulin

Science, 1984
Astroblasts in culture proliferated when exposed to glia maturation factor for at least 2 hours and then to insulin, but not when exposed in the reverse order. The sequential relation suggests that glia maturation factor is a competence factor.

Polyclonal antibody localizes glia maturation factor β-like immunoreactivity in neurons and glia

Brain Research, 1992
A rabbit polyclonal antibody (91-01) was raised against recombinant human glia maturation factor beta (r-hGMF-beta). The antibody did not cross-react with a number of other growth factors on ELISA test. When compared with the monoclonal antibody G2-09 previously obtained, 91-01 immunoblotted the same protein band in rat brain extract.

Glia maturation factor in bovine brain: Partial purification and physicochemical characterization

Brain Research, 1981
Glia maturation factor (GMF) is partially purified from bovine brains by the following procedure: extraction at physiologic pH, dialysis and freeze-drying of the extract, ethanol washing of the dried powder and re-extraction of the ethanol-washed residue with Tris-buffered saline, ion-exchange chromatography with DEAE Sephadex and molecular sieving ...
