Purpose The purpose of this paper is to solve the challenging problem of automatic carrier landing with the presence of environmental disturbances. Therefore, a global fast terminal sliding mode control (GFTSMC) method is proposed for automatic carrier landing system (ACLS) to achieve safe carrier landing control.

Global Fast Terminal Sliding Mode Controller Design for Low Speed Servo System with Friction
2009 International Conference on Information Engineering and Computer Science, 2009Based on the model of servo system with nonlinear friction disturbance, a global fast terminal sliding mode controller (TSMC) is developed in this paper. With the introduction of the nonlinear function in the design of the sliding hyperplane, it is guaranteed that the system tracking error converges to zero in finite time.

Trajectory tracking control based on global fast terminal sliding mode for 2-DOF manipulator
2011 2nd International Conference on Intelligent Control and Information Processing, 2011The global fast terminal sliding mode control(GFTSMC) method for the 2-DOF manipulator is used to track its trajectory. the dynamics of 2-DOF manipulator is nonlinear and strongly coupled. GFTSMC combines the advantages of traditional sliding mode control and terminal sliding mode control in the sliding phase, and it also uses the concept of rapid ...

Adaptive global fast terminal sliding mode control of MEMS gyroscope using fuzzy-neural-network
Proceedings of the 33rd Chinese Control Conference, 2014An adaptive global fast terminal sliding mode (GFTSM) tracking control scheme using fuzzy-neural-network (FNN) is presented for Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS) vibratory gyroscopes in this paper. This approach gives a new global fast terminal sliding surface, which will ensure the designed control system to reach the sliding surface and ...

This article aims to provide a high-precision sensorless controller for permanent magnet in-wheel motors (PMIWMs) used in electric vehicles (EVs) when an unexpected failure of the position sensor occurs. To address this, we propose a position sensorless control method that combines a global fast terminal sliding mode observer (GFTSMO) with a phase ...
