Human neutrophils exist as two epigenetically imprinted subtypes defined by stable CD177 expression or absence — a ratio that persists across time, circadian rhythms, and inflammation. CD177− neutrophils display a distinct molecular landscape enriched in arginase 1 and lipid metabolism markers, accumulate in head‐and‐neck tumors, and associate with ...

TBP-mediated enhancement of GM-CSF activation.
(A) Quantitative RT-PCR analysis of GM-CSF gene expression in 293FT cells. 293FT cells were transfected with either empty vector control alone, G1-VP64 (white bars, G1) or G1-TBP (shaded bars, G1’) in combination with indicated GM-CSF specific VP64-TALE ...

Slc44a2 Deficiency Unveils an IFN‐I–Dependent Feedback Control of pDC Egress
Working model of SLC44A2‐mediated maintenance of pDC homeostasis. This model illustrates two central mechanisms by which SLC44A2 regulates pDC homeostasis: (1) SLC44A2 limits IFN‐I production by exporting amino acids (T, N, Q), thereby preventing spontaneous pDC activation.

Extracellular proteomes of M-CSF (CSF-1) and GM-CSF-dependent macrophages
Macrophage colony-stimulating factor (M-CSF) (also known as CSF-1) and granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF) have distinct effects on macrophage lineage populations, which are likely to be contributing to their functional ...

Frailty was associated with decreased gray and white matter brain volumes in older adults. Synthetic MRI further revealed relaxometry alterations correlated with frailty severity across multiple clinical scales. ABSTRACT Objectives Frailty, a common condition in the elderly, is characterized by a decline in physiological reserves and an increased ...

TNFα inhibits the development of osteoclasts through osteoblast-derived GM-CSF
Inflammatory cytokines such as tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNFα) are potent stimulators of osteoclast formation and bone resorption and are frequently associated with pathologic bone metabolism.

This study evaluated immune‐related biomarkers in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma treated with immune checkpoint inhibitors after postoperative recurrence. PD‐L1 expression in tumor‐associated macrophages and tumor cells, together with HLA class I downregulation and HLA‐DR expression, were associated with favorable responses to immunotherapy.

Targeted cancer immunotherapy with irradiated, granulocyte–macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF)-secreting, allogeneic cancer cell lines has been an effective approach to reduce tumor burden in several patients. It is generally assumed that to be
