Temporary Grand Unified Theory in Unphysical World [PDF]
We construct grand unified models on an orbifold based on unphysical grand unification. The reduction to the standard model or its supersymmetric one is carried out using a variant of Parisi-Sourlas mechanism and nontrivial $Z_2$ parity assignment ...

Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).

Conditions for suppressing dimension-five proton decay in renormalizable SUSY SO(10) GUT
The SUSY SO(10) GUT is in severe tension with the experimental bounds on proton partial lifetimes because proton decay mediated by colored Higgsinos (dimension-five proton decay) is too rapid.

Partly supersymmetric grand unification [PDF]
It is shown how grand unification can occur in models which are partly supersymmetric. The particle states which are composite do not contribute to the running of gauge couplings above the compositeness scale, while the elementary states contribute the usual large logarithmns.

Solar neutrinos and grand unification
We consider the Grand Unification (GU) scenario for neutrino masses which is based on the see-saw mechanism with the mass of the heaviest right handed (RH) neutrino at the GU-scale: $M_3 \sim \Lambda_{GU}$, and on the quark-lepton symmetry for fermions ...

Renormalization Group and Grand Unification with 331 Models [PDF]
By making a renormalization group analysis we explore the possibility of having a 331 model as the only intermediate gauge group between the standard model and the scale of unification of the three coupling constants.

PICALM::MLLT10 translocated leukemia
This comprehensive review of PICALM::MLLT10 translocated acute leukemia provides an in‐depth review of the structure and function of CALM, AF10, and the fusion oncoprotein (1). The multifaceted molecular mechanisms of oncogenesis, including nucleocytoplasmic shuttling (2), epigenetic modifications (3), and disruption of endocytosis (4), are then ...

Tri-unification: a separate SU(5) for each fermion family
In this paper we discuss SU(5)3 with cyclic symmetry as a possible grand unified theory (GUT). The basic idea of such a tri-unification is that there is a separate SU(5) for each fermion family, with the light Higgs doublet(s) arising from the third ...

Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.
