Electroweak flavour unification
We propose that the electroweak and flavour quantum numbers of the Standard Model (SM) could be unified at high energies in an SU(4) × Sp(6) L × Sp(6) R anomaly-free gauge model. All the SM fermions are packaged into two fundamental fields, Ψ L ∼ (4 , 6 ,

Proton decay and grand unification
I review the theoretical and experimental status of proton decay theory and experiment. Regarding theory, I focus mostly, but not only, on grand unification.

Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

The Weinberg angle and 5D RGE effects in a SO(11) GUT theory
The Weinberg angle is an important parameter in Grand Unified Theories (GUT) as its size is crucially influenced by the assumption of unification. In scenarios with different steps of symmetry breaking, in particular in models that involve gauge-Higgs ...

Anatomy of scalar mediated proton decays in SO(10) models
Realistic models based on the renormalizable grand unified theories have varieties of scalars, many of which are capable of mediating baryon (B) and lepton (L) number non-conserving processes.

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

Predictive power of grand unification from quantum gravity
If a grand-unified extension of the asymptotically safe Reuter fixed-point for quantum gravity exists, it determines free parameters of the grand-unified scalar potential. All quartic couplings take their fixed-point values in the trans-Planckian regime.

Probing minimal grand unification through gravitational waves, proton decay, and fermion masses
Motivated by the direct discovery of gravitational waves (GWs) from black holes and neutron stars, there is a growing interest in investigating GWs from other sources.

Non-Canonical Gauge Coupling Unification in High-Scale Supersymmetry Breaking
The string landscape suggests that the supersymmetry breaking scale can be high, and then the simplest low energy effective theory is the Standard Model (SM).

This study shows that copy number variations (CNVs) can be reliably detected in formalin‐fixed paraffin‐embedded (FFPE) solid cancer samples using ultra‐low‐pass whole‐genome sequencing, provided that key (pre)‐analytical parameters are optimized.
