Evaluating the involvement of autolysosomes in the nuclear translocation of fluorescent proteins
Endogenously expressed fluorescent proteins can be degraded by autophagy and transported to cell nuclei via the nuclear pore complex. But in some cell lines, for example, HeLa cells which are positive for immunoreactivity of a receptor ligand, such as UCN I, in cell nuclei, fusion of autolysosome with the nuclear envelope is involved in the nuclear ...

Cadherin-2 controls directional chain migration of cerebellar granule neurons.
Long distance migration of differentiating granule cells from the cerebellar upper rhombic lip has been reported in many vertebrates. However, the knowledge about the subcellular dynamics and molecular mechanisms regulating directional neuronal migration

Peripheral Neutrophil Activation and Extracellular Trap Formation in Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis
Markers of neutrophil activation are increased in plasma during ALS, and markers of NET formation associate with ALS survival. ABSTRACT Objectives Peripheral neutrophil levels in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) inversely correlate with survival, suggesting a role for neutrophils in disease progression.

Powder Optimization Strategies for Binder Jetting Printing of BaTiO3 and Ba0,6Sr0,4TiO3 Ceramics
Powder optimization is investigated to enable binder jetting of BaTiO3 and Ba0.6Sr0.4TiO3 ferroelectric ceramics. The antagonistic relationship between flowability and binder compatibility is addressed through binder impregnation of granulated powders and fumed silica addition to fine powders.

Investigating the interplay between excitatory neurotransmission and GABAa receptor expression and trafficking in the stargazer mutant mouse [PDF]
The stargazer mutant mouse is an animal model of human absence epilepsy and cerebellar ataxia. The stargazer mutation results in the complete ablation of expression of TARPy2, an AMPA receptor (AMPAR) auxiliary subunit.

Structured sampling of molecularly classified mossy fiber inputs by cerebellar granule cells
The cerebellar granule cell layer receives mossy fiber inputs from diverse brain regions, yet the principles governing how individual granule cells sample distinct types of inputs remain poorly understood. Using a volumetric correlated light and electron

Long-term genetic fate mapping of adult generated neurons in a mouse temporal lobe epilepsy model
In the epileptic brain, seizures can increase hippocampal neurogenesis, while opposingly seizure-associated brain pathology has been shown to detrimentally affect neurogenesis.
