Se presentan 11 casos de embolía grasa sistémica, post-traumática, dos de los cuales fueron fatales y se mencionan los aspectos histopatológicos de uno de ellos. Se discuten los aspectos fisiopatológicos, etiológicos, clínicos y de diagnóstico y tratamiento de la E.G.S. y se correlacionan los hallazgos de los casos presentados con los de la literatura.
