Complete nucleotide sequence of the S10 genome segment of grass carp reovirus (GCRV) [PDF]
Hemorrhagic disease, caused by the grass carp reovirus (GCRV), is one of the major diseases of grass carp in China. Little is known about the structure and function of the gene segments of this reovirus. The S10 genome segment of GCRV was cloned and the complete nucleotide sequence is reported here.

Hemorrhagic disease of the grass carp, Ctenopharyngodon idella, is a fatal disease in fingerlings and yearlings caused by a reovirus, GCRV. RNA-seq data from four diseased grass carp tissues (gill, intestine, liver and spleen) were obtained at 2h before and six times after (2h, 24h, 48h, 72h, 96h and 120h) GCRV challenge.

Grass carp reovirus (GCRV) is one of the most serious pathogens threatening grass carp (Ctenopharyngon idellus) production in China. VP6 could be suitable for developing vaccine for the control of GCRV. Transgenic plants are an attractive bioreactor for their safety and ability to make economical vaccines.

Grass carp reovirus (GCRV) is one of the most serious pathogens threatening grass carp (Ctenopharyngodon idella) production and results in high mortality in China. To obtain a genetically engineered oral vaccine against GCRV, the cholera toxin B subunit (CTB) of Vibrio cholerae was fused to VP7 (CTB-VP7) and transformed into BL21(DE3) for expression ...

Detection of grass carp reovirus (GCRV) with monoclonal antibodies
Archives of Virology, 2013Grass carp reovirus (GCRV) is a pathogen that causes hemorrhagic disease of grass carp. It is the most serious infectious disease of carp and causes serious losses of fingerlings of grass carp and black carp. In this study, a recombinant VP4, one of the viral core proteins, was constructed with a histidine tag and expressed at a high level in E.
