Organelle Localization‐Induced Bio‐Orthogonal Polymerization (OLIBOP) for Photostable Super‐Resolution Live‐Cell Imaging

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Organelle localization‐induced biorthogonal polymerization enables direct synthesis of photostable poly‐AIEgens within targeted organelles for super‐resolution live‐cell imaging. ABSTRACT Real‐time monitoring of dynamic biological processes demands fluorescent probes that can withstand prolonged light exposure without photobleaching—a critical ...

O PAPEL DA HEMOTERAPIA IMPACTANDO POSITIVAMENTE NA QUALIDADE DE VIDA DE PACIENTE COM DOENÇA FALCIFORME E ÚLCERAS CRÔNICAS DE MEMBROS INFERIORES – RELATO DE CASO

open access: yesHematology, Transfusion and Cell Therapy

Endothelial preconditioning by transient oxidative stress reduces inflammatory responses of cultured endothelial cells to TNF-α [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
Brief episodes of ischemia can render an organ resistant to subsequent severe ischemia. This ‘ischemic preconditioning’ is ascribed to various mechanisms, including oxidative stress. We investigated whether preconditioning exists on an endothelial level.

Taming the Immiscibility of Gold, Iron, and Boron to Craft Chemodegradable Nanoparticles for Multimodal Imaging and Radiotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Over half of cancer patients undergo radiotherapy. Laser ablation enabled the synthesis of immiscible Au‐Fe‐B nanoparticles designed as degradable bimodal radiosensitizers for X‐ray radiotherapy (XRT), boron neutron capture therapy (BNCT), and bimodal imaging for X‐ray computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). These nanosensitizers

Applying GSH to a Wide Range of Experiments in Granular Media [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Granular solid hydrodynamics (GSH) is a continuum-mechanical theory for granular media, the range of which is shown in this paper. Simple, frequently analytic solutions are related to classic observations at different shear rates, including: (i)~static ...

Effect of Thiabendazole(TBZ)on Glutathione(GSH) and GSH Related Enzymes in Mice Liver

open access: yesYAKUGAKU ZASSHI, 2000
The present study examines the effects of thiabendazole (TBZ), its metabolites, 5-hydroxythiabendazole (5-OH TBZ) and 2-acetylbenzimidazole (ABI), and structural related compounds, thiazoles and thioamides on glutathione (GSH) concentration and GSH-related enzymes in the livers of ICR 11 week-old female mice.

Ferritin‐Doped Nanoparticles Triggered Tumor‐Specific Darkening for Enhanced Photothermal Tumor Ablation and Immune Activation

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Ferritin‐doped hybrid nanoparticles triggered accurate tumor‐specific hemorrhage for enhanced in situ photothermal therapy and evoked anti‐tumor immunity. Notably, HFn/GA‐Fe specifically induced tumor hemorrhage 12 h after intravenous injection, resulting in visible color darkening. Through photoacoustic imaging, tumor vessels could be clearly observed

On the origin of the neutral hydrogen supershells: the ionized progenitors and the limitations of the multiple supernovae hypothesis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Here we address the question whether the ionized shells associated with giant HII regions can be progenitors of the larger HI shell-like objects found in the Milky Way and other spiral and dwarf irregular galaxies.

Oxygen and ROS Delivery for Infected Wound Healing and Future Prospects

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Bacterial infection is a major driver of delayed wound healing and postsurgical readmissions; with rising antibiotic resistance, solid peroxide–releasing biomaterials offer sustained delivery of ROS/O2 for antimicrobial control and microenvironmental modulation.

A IMPLANTAÇÃO DA TROCA AUTOMATIZADA DE GLÓBULOS VERMELHOS (ERITROCITAFÉRESE) COMO MODALIDADE DE TRATAMENTO EM PACIENTES COM DOENÇA FALCIFORME: EXPERIÊNCIA DO AMBULATÓRIO TRANSFUSIONAL SERUM CENTRO – RJ

open access: yesHematology, Transfusion and Cell Therapy
Introdução: A Doença Falciforme (DF) é uma doença genética e hereditária caracterizada por uma mutação no gene que produz a hemoglobina (HbA), fazendo surgir uma hemoglobina mutante denominada S (HbS).
