The guanine nucleotides, guanosine‐5′‐triphosphate and guanylyl‐5′‐imidodiphosphate, significantly inhibited the binding of radiolabeled vasoactive intestinal polypeptide but not that of [Tyr4]bombesin to rat brain membranes.
