Overcoming Artificial Structures in Resolution‐Enhanced Hi‐C Data by Signal Decomposition and Multi‐Scale Attention

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Deep‐learning‐based signal enhancement is an effective way to recover high‐resolution details from a low‐resolution chromatin contact map. However, due to computational challenges, existing methods commonly divide up the contact map into small patches and create artificial discontinuities at patch boundaries.

Sustainable Materials Design With Multi‐Modal Artificial Intelligence

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Critical mineral scarcity, high embodied carbon, and persistent pollution from materials processing intensify the need for sustainable materials design. This review frames the problem as multi‐objective optimization under heterogeneous, high‐dimensional evidence and highlights multi‐modal AI as an enabling pathway.

A multi-level hardware-in-the-loop simulation

open access: yes, 1999
This paper discusses the design and the use of multi-level Hardware-In-the-Loop (HIL) simulations as a powerful tool for the modernization of a complex system. This approach will be illustrated by describing a HIL simulator that was developed as the key component for a non-destructive and cost-effective prototype development process for a modernization

Generation of Probabilistic Bits by Exploiting Orthogonal Spin Currents in Magnetic Trilayers

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Fe/Ti/CoFeB trilayers generate orthogonal spin currents that drive stochastic spin–orbit‐torque switching for probabilistic‐bit operation. The switching probability is continuously controlled by the in‐plane magnetic field and drive current, enabling tunable random bit generation.

Ferroelectric Devices for In‐Memory and In‐Sensor Computing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Inspired by biological systems, in‐memory and in‐sensor computing overcome von Neumann bottlenecks. Ferroelectric devices can mimic synaptic functions and sense stimuli like light or force, therefore are ideal for these paradigms. This review introduces the ferroelectric devices applied for in‐memory and in‐sensor computing, covering their structures ...
