BCL9 and BCL9L drive bladder cancer progression by enhancing β‐catenin signaling, promoting proliferation, migration, invasion, and organoid growth. Genetic depletion of BCL9(L) suppresses malignant phenotypes, while pharmacological disruption of the β‐catenin/BCL9(L) complex with ZW4864 inhibits canonical Wnt signaling and tumor‐associated cellular ...

Background The Pacific oyster Crassostrea gigas is an important fishery resource that is sensitive to temperature fluctuations. Thus, it has evolved a protection mechanism against heat stress by increasing the expression of the gene coding for heat shock

BH3-only protein BIM mediates heat shock-induced apoptosis. [PDF]
Acute heat shock can induce apoptosis through a canonical pathway involving the upstream activation of caspase-2, followed by BID cleavage and stimulation of the intrinsic pathway.

Heat Shock Proteins and Ferroptosis
Ferroptosis is a new form of regulatory cell death named by Dixon in 2012, which is characterized by the accumulation of lipid peroxides and iron ions. Molecular chaperones are a class of evolutionarily conserved proteins in the cytoplasm. They recognize

Promiscuous stimulation of HSP70 ATPase activity by parasite‐derived J‐domains
The malaria parasite Plasmodium falciparum exports three highly homologous yet functionally divergent J‐domain proteins into human erythrocytes. Here, we show that J‐domains isolated from all three proteins effectively stimulate the ATPase activity of both endogenous host and exported parasite HSP70 chaperones.

Bisphenol A (BPA), a common chemical in plastics, exerts dual effects on bladder cancer cells: low doses promote growth and migration, while high doses suppress growth and migration. Multi‐omics and bioinformatics reveal BPA acts via MAPK and inflammatory pathways.

Summary: Heat shock can be a lethal stressor. Previously, we described a CUL-6/cullin-ring ubiquitin ligase complex in the nematode Caenorhabditis elegans that is induced by intracellular intestinal infection and proteotoxic stress and that promotes ...

Rapid screening of staphylokinase protein variants using an unpurified cell‐free expression system
An unpurified cell‐free protein synthesis (CFPS) platform enables rapid functional screening of staphylokinase variants. Direct plasminogen‐activation assays performed in microplate format provide real‐time activity readouts, allowing rapid identification and ranking of variants with improved or reduced fibrinolytic activity without protein ...
