Dynamic association of transcriptional activation domains and regulatory regions in Saccharomyces cerevisiae heat shock factor [PDF]
In Saccharomyces cerevisiae, the heat shock transcription factor (HSF) is thought to be a homotypic trimer that is bound to the promoters of heat shock protein (HSP) genes at both normal and heat shock temperatures.

Some Like It Hot, Some Like It Warm: Phenotyping To Explore Thermotolerance Diversity [PDF]
Plants have evolved overlapping but distinct cellular responses to different aspects of high temperature stress. These responses include basal thermotolerance, short- and long-term acquired thermotolerance, and thermotolerance to moderately high ...

Binding of heat shock factor to and transcriptional activation of heat shock genes inDrosophila
Heat shock factor (HSF) binds to heat shock elements (HSEs) and the binding can be highly cooperative. Here we report an analysis of binding of Drosophila HSF to both native and synthetic heat shock regulatory regions. We find that cooperative binding of HSF requires close proximity, rather than helical alignment, of HSEs.

Activation of heat-shock transcription factor 1 by hypertonic shock in 3T3 cells [PDF]
The exposure of 3T3 cells to a medium made hypertonic by the addition of NaCl induced activation of a heat-shock transcription factor (HSF). This activation, as monitored by gel-mobility-shift assays, occurred within 10 min of hypertonic shock and was dose-dependent in relation to the osmotic strength of the medium up to 0.7 osM.

IL‐3 Modulates Microglia Polarization and Attenuates Neuroinflammation in Traumatic Brain Injury
IL‐3 recruits PRDX1 through IL‐3R to modulate the inflammatory response of microglia via the KEAP1‐NRF2‐HO‐1/NF‐κB pathway to attenuate neuroinflammation in traumatic brain injury. ABSTRACT Microglia play a crucial role in the progression of neuroinflammation following traumatic brain injury (TBI). Interleukin‐3 (IL‐3), a significant regulatory factor,

Heat shock transcription factor 1-deficiency attenuates overloading-associated hypertrophy of mouse soleus muscle. [PDF]
Hypertrophic stimuli, such as mechanical stress and overloading, induce stress response, which is mediated by heat shock transcription factor 1 (HSF1), and up-regulate heat shock proteins (HSPs) in mammalian skeletal muscles.
