Endocytic Control of Cell‐Autonomous and Non‐Cell‐Autonomous Functions of p53

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
NUMB Ex3‐containing isoforms localize to the plasma membrane, where they recruit p53 through SNX9 and direct it to multivesicular bodies and exosomes. Exported p53 is taken up by neighboring cells and activates nuclear programs, revealing an intercellular, exosome‐based pathway that might help establish a tumor‐suppressive microenvironment.

Targeting Lactate and Lactylation in Cancer Metabolism and Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Lactate, once deemed a metabolic waste, emerges as a central regulator of cancer progression. This review elucidates how lactate and its epigenetic derivative, protein lactylation, orchestrate tumor metabolism, immune suppression, and therapeutic resistance.

Laws of Little in an open queueing network

open access: yesNonlinear Analysis, 2012
The object of this research in the queueing theory is theorems about the functional strong laws of large numbers (FSLLN) under the conditions of heavy traffic in an open queueing network (OQN).

Earliest-deadline-first service in heavy-traffic acyclic networks

open access: yes, 2004
This paper presents a heavy traffic analysis of the behavior of multi-class acyclic queueing networks in which the customers have deadlines. We assume the queueing system consists of J stations, and there are K different customer classes.

Heavy Traffic Limits for Some Queueing Networks

open access: yesThe Annals of Applied Probability, 2001
The paper gives results for six families of multiclass queueing networks operating under heavy traffic regime. Three of them are single-station systems under first-in-first-out, generalized head-of-the-line proportional processor sharing, and static buffer priority disciplines.

Understanding and Overcoming Antibody‐Drug Conjugate Resistance: Biological Mechanisms and Emerging Analytical Frameworks in Breast Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Antibody–drug conjugates (ADCs) transform breast cancer therapy, yet resistance limits their durability. Emerging evidence reveals that ADC failure is not solely tumor‐intrinsic but shaped by dynamic tumor–microenvironment interactions that alter drug delivery, processing, and response.

Activated Platelet–Released Heat Shock Protein 90α Triggers Autophagy‐Dependent Neutrophil Extracellular Trap Formation and Amplifies Sepsis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
HSP90α is significantly upregulated in platelets from sepsis patients, with its origin from megakaryocyte‐derived trafficking. Furthermore, activated platelets secrete HSP90α into the extracellular space in both free and exosome‐associated forms. Finally, extracellular HSP90α directly engages TLR4 on neutrophils to induce autophagy, leading to NET ...

Nearly periodic behavior in the overloaded G/D/s+GI queue

open access: yesStochastic Systems, 2011
Under general conditions, the number of customers in a GI/D/s+GI many-server queue at time t converges to a unique stationary distribution as t → ∞. However, simulations show that the sample paths routinely exhibit nearly periodic behavior over long time

Single‐Cell Transcriptomics Reveals FLS2‐Dependent Hypoxia Signaling and ERF13‐Mediated Transcription During flg22‐Triggered Immunity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study employs sc‐RNA sequencing, genetics, and phenotyping to systematically map the cell‐type‐specific immune responses triggered by flg22. It reveals FLS2‐dependent transcriptional reprogramming in epidermal and mesophyll cells, and uncovers crosstalk between immune and hypoxia signaling pathways.

Many-server queues with customer abandonment: Numerical analysis of their diffusion model

open access: yesStochastic Systems, 2013
We use a multidimensional diffusion process to approximate the dynamics of aqueue served by many parallel servers. Waiting customers in this queue may abandonthe system without service.
