This study establishes that the RBM25‐PRPF40A interaction modulates MYPT1 splicing, promoting the production of the oncogenic long isoform. This isoform stabilizes YAP by suppressing its phosphorylation and subsequent proteasomal degradation, ultimately accelerating tumor growth.

Biological Roles of Hepatitis B Viral X Protein in the Viral Replication and Hepatocarcinogenesis [PDF]
Hepatitis B virus is a pathogenic virus that infects 300 million people worldwide and causes chronic hepatitis, liver cirrhosis, and hepatocellular carcinoma. Hepatitis B virus encodes four proteins.

Regulation of hepatocarcinogenesis by microRNAs
Liver cancer (hepatocellular carcinoma, HCC) is a major malignancy worldwide. Etiologically, hepatocarcinogenesis is closely associated with HBV and HCV infections; however, its underlying molecular mechanism is not completely understood. MicroRNAs are a class of small non-coding RNAs that negatively regulate gene expression by interacting with the 3 ...

High‐density type I collagen promotes glutamine (Gln) accumulation–related ferroptosis of TNBC cells via the spermidine/spermine N1‐acetyltransferase 1 (SAT1)‐ argininosuccinate synthase (ASS1) signaling pathway, thus depriving immune cells of Gln supply and inducing IFN‐γ+ CD8+ T cell exhaustion in the TME.

CAMK2γ Antagonizes mTORC1 Activation during Hepatocarcinogenesis
Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is one of the most deadly cancers that still lacks effective treatments. Dysregulation of kinase signaling has frequently been reported to contribute to HCC.

Hepatocarcinogenesis and Ceramide/Cholesterol Metabolism [PDF]
Sphingolipids (SLs) and cholesterol are critical structural components of membrane bilayers. Although recent evidence has revealed an emerging role of both lipids in signaling pathways, their contribution to cancer development and treatment has been largely overlooked. Sphingolipids comprise a family of bioactive lipids with divergent roles in numerous

Preneoplastic lesions in human hepatocarcinogenesis
The early stages of hepatocarcinogenesis in human chronic liver diseases are characterized by the emergence of preneoplastic lesions of which some will eventually develop into hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).

Protective Role of Decorin in Primary Hepatocellular Carcinoma
Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) represents one of the most frequent type of primary liver cancers. Decorin, a small leucine-rich proteoglycan of the extracellular matrix, represents a powerful tumor cell growth and migration inhibitor by hindering ...

USP4 stabilizes CHAF1B by limiting K48‐linked ubiquitination. Stabilized CHAF1B supports UHRF1‐associated K63‐linked SETDB1 ubiquitination and cytoplasmic redistribution, whereas CHAF1B loss favors VHL‐dependent K11‐associated degradative ubiquitination and proteasomal loss of SETDB1.
