Recent Advances in Photocatalyst‐Driven Protein Labeling and Proximity Mapping

open access: yesThe Chemical Record, EarlyView.
Photocatalyst‐driven protein labeling and proximity mapping have rapidly advanced as powerful strategies for spatiotemporal control in complex biological environments. This review integrates recent developments across single‐electron transfer and energy transfer‐based mechanisms and highlights how catalyst design, reactive intermediates, and diffusion ...

MiR‐375 in CAFs‐Derived EVs Promotes HCC Progression via Regulating RASA1 and May Potentially Serve as a Biomarker for HCC

open access: yesCancer Science, EarlyView.
CAFs could transfer EVs miR‐375 into endothelial cells with a low level of RASA1 and further promote EC angiogenesis. Plasma EVs miR‐375 have the potential values as a novel diagnostic and prognostic biomarker for HCC. ABSTRACT Cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) in the tumor microenvironment play an important role in cancer initiation and progression

Generation of replication-proficient Influenza Virus NS1 point mutants with interferon-hyperinducer phenotype [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
The NS1 protein of influenza A viruses is the dedicated viral interferon (IFN)-antagonist. Viruses lacking NS1 protein expression cannot multiply in normal cells but are viable in cells deficient in their ability to produce or respond to IFN.

SOX2 interacts with hnRNPK to modulate alternative splicing in mouse embryonic stem cells

open access: yesCell & Bioscience
Background SOX2 is a determinant transcription factor that governs the balance between stemness and differentiation by influencing transcription and splicing programs. The role of SOX2 is intricately shaped by its interactions with specific partners.

SUN5, a testis-specific nuclear membrane protein, participates in recruitment and export of nuclear mRNA in spermatogenesis

open access: yesActa Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica
SUN5, a testis-specific gene, is associated with acephalic spermatozoa syndrome (ASS). Here, we demonstrate that SUN5 is involved in mRNA export. In Sun5-knockout mice (Sun5–/–), poly(A)+ RNA accumulates in the nuclei of germ cells, leading to reduced ...

circMAN1A2 as an Isoform‐Resolved Circular RNA Hub in Cancer

open access: yesCancer Science, EarlyView.
circMAN1A2 as an isoform‐resolved circular RNA hub in cancer. circMAN1A2 is generated by back‐splicing of MAN1A2 pre‐mRNA, with alternative circularization producing multiple isoforms, including the predominant circMAN1A2(2–5). Its mechanistic interfaces include miRNA‐associated regulation, RBP binding/proteostasis control, BSJ‐mediated RNA–RNA pairing,

Tumor‐Derived Exosomal piR‐hsa‐28212 Promotes Lymphatic Metastasis in Breast Cancer

open access: yesCancer Science, EarlyView.
Breast cancer–derived exosomal piR‐hsa‐28212 promotes lymphangiogenesis and lymph node metastasis by activating VEGFC/VEGFR3 signaling. It stabilizes TBX1 mRNA in lymphatic endothelial cells and METTL3 protein in tumor cells, enhancing VEGFR3 expression and VEGFC secretion.

Altered expression of heterogenous nuclear ribonucleoproteins and SR factors in human colon adenocarcinomas [PDF]

open access: yes, 1998
Alternative splicing is part of the expression program of a wide number of genes implicated in cell growth and differentiation. Although the occurrence of inappropriate alternative splicing in tumors has started to emerge, the underlying molecular ...

Hepatocyte TrkB Acts as a Gatekeeper Against MASH‐Related Liver Fibrosis by Suppressing the TGFβ/CCL2 Axis and Macrophage Infiltration

open access: yesCell Proliferation, EarlyView.
Hepatocyte TrkB is identified as a critical gatekeeper against MASH‐related fibrosis. Mechanistically, TrkB inhibits the TGFβ/SMAD3/FOS axis to suppress CCL2 secretion, thereby blocking pathogenic macrophage recruitment and ameliorating liver fibrosis.
