Vitamin E Modulates Radiation-induced Oxidative Damage in Mice Fed a High-Lipid Diet
The Vitamin E (VE) effect was examined on oxidative damage to DNA, lipids, and protein in mice that were fed various levels of lipid diets after total body irradiation (TBI) with X-rays at 2 Gy. No increase of 8-hydroxydeoxyguanosine (8OHdG) by TBI was observed in the + VE group; however, in the case of the -VE group, a significantly higher 8OHdG level

A thiol‐modified alginate hydrogel microsphere‐encapsulated enzyme‐probiotic biohybrid (AKK‐COD) system has been developed to address the spatiotemporal delivery and colonization challenges of small intestine‐targeted probiotic for lipid metabolism regulation. The system exerts sequential functions of intragastric protection, small intestinal adhesion,

High-carbohydrate diets, exercise and postprandial lipaemia [PDF]
Low-fat, high-carbohydrate diets are recommended by various scientific bodies for the prevention of coronary heart disease. However, these diets increase postprandial lipaemia and so their net benefit for coronary heart disease risk has been the subject ...

Biosynthesis of Sciadonic Acid Derived from Gymnosperms with Anti‐Colitis Activity
This study establishes an efficient Yarrowia lipolytica platform for unusual sciadonic acid (SCA) production and assess the anti‐colitis efficacy in mice of SCA, supporting its potential as a novel therapeutic lipid. ABSTRACT Sciadonic acid (SCA), Δ5‐unsaturated fatty acid with anti‐inflammatory and lipid‐regulatory properties, is predominantly derived

Ovarian macrophage depletion reverses OHSS resistance in estrildid finches and exacerbates OHSS symptoms in rats. Activating macrophage GPR183 alleviates OHSS by reducing pro‐inflammatory factors, increasing immunomodulatory molecules, remodeling CD44/SDC4‐mediated communication, and restoring immune homeostasis.

Obesity, caused V̇ by a long‐term high‐fat diet, is a risk factor for insulin resistance and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). The gut microbiota plays an important role in NAFLD development by producing lipopolysaccharides (LPS). Isoleucine (ILE)

Lipid profile of rats fed high-fat diets based on flaxseed, peanut, trout, or chicken skin
Dietary saturated fatty acids are associated with coronary disease. Conversely, dietary monounsaturated polyunsaturated fatty acids (MUFAs) and polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) seem to exert a protective effect.

Stage‐Specific H3K14 and H3K23 Succinylation Orchestrates Insect Metamorphosis and Oogenesis
Stage‐specific succinylation of histone H3 at lysine 14 and 23 differentially controls insect metamorphosis and oogenesis through distinct GPCR‐PKC signaling cascades, revealing an evolutionarily conserved epigenetic mechanism that coordinates key life‐history traits.
