VLT/MUSE Detection of the AB Aurigae b Protoplanet with Hα Spectroscopy
We analyze high-contrast, medium-spectral-resolution H _α observations of the star AB Aurigae using the Very Large Telescope's Multi Unit Spectroscopic Explorer (MUSE).

Context. High-contrast medium-resolution spectroscopy with JWST can resolve molecular and isotopic features in cool substellar atmospheres, but for close-in companions, the extracted spectra can be biased by wavelength-dependent residual stellar ...

Transient oligomers formed by intrinsically disordered proteins may be ‘invisible’ to direct detection yet remain accessible to solution NMR through equilibrium‐exchange measurements and pressure‐jump experiments. Complementary methods report on mass, stoichiometry, selected distance distributions, morphology, and internal packing.

Recently, speckle contrast optical spectroscopy (SCOS) enabled non-invasive, high signal-to-noise-ratio (SNR) human cerebral blood flow (CBF) measurements, relevant for both neuroscience and clinical monitoring of diseases with CBF dysregulation.

Advanced design and experimental validation of MRI contrast agents for fluid pressure mapping using microbubbles [PDF]
This work is related to monitoring fluid pressure using Magnetic Resonance Imaging or MRI and includes numerical simulations and experimental MRI. The nature of this study is such that techniques other than MRI have been extensively used to assess the ...

Loss of IGF‐1R impairs DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin leading to defective end‐joining
IGF‐1R promotes radioresistance by facilitating DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin, enabling non‐homologous end‐joining (NHEJ) repair of double‐strand breaks. Inhibition or loss of IGF‐1R disrupts this recruitment to damage sites, driving compensatory reliance on microhomology‐mediated end‐joining (MMEJ) repair.
