pH Dependence on Colorimetric Detection of Hg2+ by Histidine-Functionalized Gold Nanoparticles
In this study, we successfully developed gold nanoparticles capped with histidine (His-AuNPs) for Hg2+ detection using trisodium citrate as the reducing agent. The optimum pH for the detection of Hg2+ by His-AuNPs was 12.

Structural Insights into the HWE Histidine Kinase Family: The Brucella Blue Light-Activated Histidine Kinase Domain [PDF]
In response to light, as part of a two-component system, the Brucella blue light-activated histidine kinase (LOV-HK) increases its autophosphorylation, modulating the virulence of this microorganism.

Structural and chemical requirements for histidine phosphorylation by the chemotaxis kinase CheA [PDF]
The CheA histidine kinase initiates the signal transduction pathway of bacterial chemotaxis by autophosphorylating a conserved histidine on its phosphotransferase domain (P1).

pH-Dependent Mechanisms of Influenza Infection Mediated by Hemagglutinin
Influenza hemagglutinin (HA) is a viral membrane bound protein that plays a critical role in the viral life cycle by mediating entry into target cells. HA exploits the lowering of the pH in the endosomal compartment to initiate a series of conformational

Inhibition of Fructose-1,6-bisphosphatase by Aminoimidazole Carboxamide Ribotide Prevents Growth of Salmonella enterica purH Mutants on Glycerol [PDF]
The enzyme fructose-1,6-bisphosphatase (FBP) is key regulatory point in gluconeogenesis. Mutants of Salmonella enterica lacking purH accumulate 5-amino-4-imidazole carboxamide ribotide (AICAR) and are unable to utilize glycerol as sole carbon and energy ...

[Roles of Histidine Kinases and Histidine Phosphatases in Cancer].
Phosphorylation is the most common and important post-translational modification of proteins, which plays an important role in the regulation of cell proliferation, differentiation, development and metabolism, and is closely related to the tumorigenesis and metastasis of cancer.
