Role of Mirna in HIV-1 Latency
Future HIV Therapy, 2008Postintegration latency of HIV-1 is achieved when host cells contain integrated provirus but viral particles are not being produced. When the cells are activated, infectious viruses can be produced from the cells. Latent infection is one of the important characteristics for all HIV-1 strains to survive in vivo.

On HIV-1 latency and viral reservoirs
2015HIV-1 establishes a latent infection that is inaccessible to treatment in cellular and anatomical reservoirs. This thesis concerns several problematic issues of HIV-1 persistence, including ways to measure and monitor both the virus at low viral concentrations and the depletion of the reservoir.
