A novel HLA-D/DR-like antigen specific for human B lymphoid cells. Biochemical evidence for similarity to but nonidentity with known HLA-D/DR antigens. [PDF]

open access: yesThe Journal of experimental medicine, 1983
The polymorphic human B cell-specific antigen, 33.1, detected by a murine monoclonal antibody, was compared by genetics and structural analysis with known human Ia antigens from a panel of DR homozygous Epstein-Barr virus-transformed B lymphoblastoid cell lines. Cells homozygous for DR 1, 2, 4, 5, and w6 were positive, while cells that are DR3,3 or DR7,

Rejection of large HPV-16 expressing tumors in aged mice by a single immunization of VacciMax® encapsulated CTL/T helper peptides

open access: yesJournal of Translational Medicine, 2007
The incidence of cancer increases significantly in later life, yet few pre-clinical studies of cancer immunotherapy use mice of advanced age. A novel vaccine delivery platform (VacciMax®,VM) is described that encapsulates antigens and adjuvants in ...

HLA-D and -DR antigens in genetic analysis of insulin dependent diabetes mellitus [PDF]

open access: yesDiabetologia, 1981
Three groups of patients with insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus, ascertained by different procedures, were investigated for HLA-A, B, C and D antigens (n = 164), and a subset (n = 93) for HLA-DR. Both HLA-D/DR3 and D/DR4 were strongly positively associated and D/DR2 was negatively associated with insulin-dependent diabetes.

HLA-D Region Antigen Expression by Human Epidermal Langerhans Cells

open access: yesJournal of Investigative Dermatology, 1986
We have systematically examined HLA-D region antigen expression by normal human epidermal Langerhans cells with an improved double label indirect immunofluorescence technique in order to better understand the immunologic potential of this human interstitial dendritic cell type.

Assessment of IgM DSAs in Transplant Recipients: Relationship to De Novo IgG DSAs and Risk for Antibody Rejection

open access: yesTransplantation Direct
Background. The presence of anti-HLA donor-specific antibodies (DSAs) is associated with antibody-mediated rejection (AMR) and inferior graft survival.

Characteristics of splenic marginal zone lymphoma: Clinical, hematologic, and flow cytometry findings of 34 cases

open access: yesIraqi Journal of Hematology, 2017
Background: Splenic marginal zone lymphoma (SMZL) is a low-grade disorder that regularly presents with peripheral blood (PB) involvement. A precise description of clinical, laboratory features and immunophenotypic characterization of SMZL are still ...

HLA-D and IA antigens in rheumatoid arthritis and systemic lupus erythematosus [PDF]

open access: yesArthritis & Rheumatism, 1978
The HLA-D region in the HLA chromosomal complex is concerned with cellular interactions and regulation of the immune response. Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) has been found to be associated with one of the HLA-D antigens. In two separate studies from this laboratory it was found that HLA-Dw4 was more frequent in RA patients than in normal controls.
