Wick's Theorem and a New Perturbation Theory Around the Atomic Limit of Strongly Correlated Electron Systems

open access: yes, 1994
A new type of perturbation expansion in the mixing $V$ of localized orbitals with a conduction-electron band in the $U\to\infty$ Anderson model is presented. It is built on Feynman diagrams obeying standard rules.

Challenges and Opportunities in Machine Learning for Light‐Emitting Polymers

open access: yesMacromolecular Rapid Communications, EarlyView.
The performance of light‐emitting polymers emerges from coupled effects of chemical diversity, morphology, and exciton dynamics across multiple length scales. This Perspective reviews recent design strategies and experimental challenges, and discusses how machine learning can unify descriptors, data, and modeling approaches to efficiently navigate ...

Surface critical behavior of two-dimensional dilute Ising models

open access: yes, 1997
Ising models with nearest-neighbor ferromagnetic random couplings on a square lattice with a (1,1) surface are studied, using Monte Carlo techniques and star-tiangle transformation method. In particular, the critical exponent of the surface magnetization

Autonomy for MRI Field Cameras: Synchronization, Self‐Calibration, and Sequence Detection

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Purpose This work aims to provide a workflow for operating NMR field probes in MR scanners independently of pulse programming, scanner TTL trigger pulses and dedicated calibration sequences. Methods An independent timing system and limited prior knowledge about relative probe positions enable synchronous field measurement, probe position ...

Defect Passivation via Plasma Modification of Lead Halide Perovskite Thin Films

open access: yesProgress in Photovoltaics: Research and Applications, EarlyView.
We demonstrate that exposure of perovskite thin films to diffuse coplanar surface barrier discharge nitrogen plasma leads to an increase in photoluminescence, attributed to reduced defect densities. This results in implied open‐circuit voltage improvement of up to 80 mV and finalized solar cell open‐circuit gains up to 60 mV.
