Effects of Hops Treatment on Nitrogen Retention, Volatile Fatty Acid Accumulations, and Select Microbial Populations of Composting Poultry Litter Intended for Use as a Ruminant Feedstuff

open access: yesMicroorganisms, 2023
Poultry litter is a valuable crude protein feedstuff for ruminants, but it must be treated to kill pathogens before feeding. Composting effectively kills pathogens, but it risks losing ammonia to volatilization or leaching during degradation of uric acid

Condensation transition in a model with attractive particles and non-local hops [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
We study a one dimensional nonequilibrium lattice model with competing features of particle attraction and non-local hops. The system is similar to a zero range process (ZRP) with attractive particles but the particles can make both local and non-local ...

Vps8 overexpression inhibits HOPS-dependent trafficking routes by outcompeting Vps41/Lt

open access: yeseLife, 2019
Two related multisubunit tethering complexes promote endolysosomal trafficking in all eukaryotes: Rab5-binding CORVET that was suggested to transform into Rab7-binding HOPS.

Maser Source Finding Methods in HOPS [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
The {\bf H}$_2${\bf O} Southern Galactic {\bf P}lane {\bf S}urvey (HOPS) has observed 100 square degrees of the Galactic plane, using the Mopra radio telescope to search for emission from multiple spectral lines in the 12\,mm band (19.5\,--\,27.5\,GHz ...

FGFR Like1 drives esophageal cancer progression via EMT, PI3K/Akt, and notch signalling: insights from clinical data and next‐generation sequencing analysis

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Clinical analysis reveals significant dysregulation of FGFRL1 in esophageal cancer (EC) patients. RNAi‐coupled next‐generation sequencing (NGS) and in vitro study reveal FGFRL1‐mediated EC progression via EMT, PI3K/Akt, and Notch pathways. Functional assays confirm its role in tumor growth, migration, and invasion.

Characterization of movement in reproducing does kept in a part-time group housing system with different group size and grouping time

open access: yesWorld Rabbit Science
The present study characterized movement restriction in reproducing does kept in a part-time collective system in parks with different group size (2 or 4 does, i.e., 2 or 4 modules joined to have 100-cm and 200-cm long parks), grouping time (12, 15 or 18

Multihop Diversity for Fading Mitigation in Multihop Wireless Networks

open access: yes, 2011
The concept of multihop diversity is proposed, where all the nodes of a multihop link are assumed to have buffers for temporarily storing their received packets.

Pre- and Post-burst Radio Observations of the Class 0 Protostar HOPS 383 in Orion [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
There is increasing evidence that episodic accretion is a common phenomenon in Young Stellar Objects (YSOs). Recently, the source HOPS 383 in Orion was reported to have a $\times 35$ mid-infrared -- and bolometric -- luminosity increase between 2004 and ...
