Nanozyme‐Integrated Hydrogel Targeting AGEs for Diabetic Osteoarthritis Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A nanozyme–integrated hydrogel (PTC‐MP) exhibiting with mild photothermal effects is constructed, and a “3R” (restrain‐restore‐reinforce) strategy is proposed for diabetic osteoarthritis (DOA) treatment based on advanced glycation end products (AGEs) targeting.

Fluid bolus increases plasma hyaluronan concentration compared to follow-up strategy without a bolus in oliguric intensive care unit patients

open access: yesScientific Reports
Fluid therapy is a fundamental part of supportive therapy in critical care. However, it is also a suspected risk for endothelial glycocalyx degradation which is associated with poor clinical outcomes.

Hyaluronan Receptors on Liver Endothelial Cells.

open access: yesTrends in Glycoscience and Glycotechnology, 1996

Photothermal Transport for Guiding Nanoparticles Through the Vitreous Humor

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Nanosecond laser irradiation of the clinically approved dye indocyanine green (ICG) enables light‐guided nanoparticle transport within the vitreous humor. The combined use of ICG and pulsed laser illumination induces localized convection and thermophoresis, directing particles toward illuminated regions.

Receptor for Hyaluronan Mediated Motility (RHAMM)/Hyaluronan Axis in Breast Cancer Chemoresistance

open access: yesCancers
Background/Objectives: Receptor for hyaluronan-mediated motility (RHAMM) is a hyaluronan (HA) receptor, which exerts diverse biological functions in not only physiological but also pathological conditions in human malignancies, including breast cancer.

Single‐Cell Morphomechanics of Prostate Cancer‐Associated Fibroblasts Identifies Distinct Features Associated with Patient Outcome

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) in prostate tumors exhibit distinct morphomechanical traits vs normal fibroblasts, including greater stiffness and volume, more elongated stress fibres, and larger and more elongated nuclei. These features, quantified through imaging and real‐time deformability cytometry, correlate with patient outcomes and can be ...

Biomarkers of Lupus Nephritis Histopathology: Where Do We Stand?

open access: yesArthritis &Rheumatology, EarlyView.
Objective Lupus nephritis (LN) is characterized by a variable disease course, necessitating continuous monitoring. There is an urgent need to identify noninvasive biomarkers. By reviewing and critically assessing the quality of existing studies on LN biomarkers correlating with histopathology, we here explore the challenges in promoting their use in ...
