Human T hybridomas secreting B cell growth factors (BCGF) and B cell differentiation factor (BCDF) have been established. Hybrid clones 77- A, 94-C, and 98-F secreted BCGF that induced proliferation of anti-IgM- stimulated normal B cells.

Background and Purpose Cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP) is a ubiquitous second messenger involved in human (patho‐)physiology. Phosphodiesterase 5 (PDE5) is a major cGMP hydrolyzing enzyme in many cell types including vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMCs). Several highly selective PDE5 inhibitors are in clinical use. However, there are currently no

Autophagy is a cellular degradation process involved in, for example, immune responses to pathogens and neurodegeneration. To identify modulators of autophagy, we developed a microscopy‐based screening assay and identified previously unknown autophagy‐modulating activities in known drugs and natural products from myxobacteria and fungi.

Retinoic acids inhibit activation-induced apoptosis in T cell hybridomas and thymocytes.
Apoptosis is induced in immature thymocytes and T cell hybridomas upon stimulation via the TCR/CD3 complex. This phenomenon appears to be related to negative selection of T cell clones in the thymus.

Antibody Polyreactivity: A Challenger of Immune Paradigms
This review article discusses the definition and functions of polyreactive antibodies, as well as their physiological roles. It also presents the concept of polyreactivity as a challenger of immunological dogmas. ABSTRACT Polyreactivity refers to the ability of antibodies to bind multiple unrelated antigens, encompassing polyspecificity and promiscuity.

We have generated cloned Th1 cells, Th2 cells, and T cell hybridomas specific for the single immunogenic peptide from the beta-chain of murine hemoglobin (Hb(64-76)). The availability of these various types of T cells provided us an unique opportunity to

Concomitant induction of the cell surface expression of Ia determinants and accessory cell function by a murine macrophage tumor cell line. [PDF]
This study demonstrates that an uncharacterized soluble factor produced in concanavalin A-induced rat spleen cell suspensions has the capacity to induce the increased expression of cell surface H-2K and H-2D molecules and the expression of I-region gene ...
