Hydrazones were obtained in 76−78% yield via condensation of (2S,5R)-2-isopropyl-5-methylcyclohexanone with 4-R-phenoxyacetic acid hydrazides in the presence of a catalytic amount of glacial acetic acid.

Um eine räumlich‐zeitliche Kontrolle der PPARγ‐Aktivität zu ermöglichen, entwickelten wir den schnell relaxierenden photoschaltbaren Agonisten 6, der PPARγ selektiv in seinem lichtinduzierten Z‐Zustand aktiviert und innerhalb von Sekunden (t1/2 = 47 s) in den inaktiven E‐Zustand relaxiert.
