Environmental Toxicology of Hydrogen Sulfide
The passenger-carrying paddle steamer Princess Alice was sunk in a collision on the River Thames in 1878 with the loss of over 640 lives and, curiously, may represent one of the largest mass poisoning episodes in history [1, 2].

Advances and Perspectives in Graphene‐Based Quantum Dots Enabled Neuromorphic Devices
Graphene‐based QDs are zero‐dimensional carbon nanomaterials with pronounced quantum confinement and tunable electronic structures. Herein, we summarize their synthesis strategies and functionalization methods, and highlight their functional roles and operating mechanisms in devices, as well as recent advances in neuromorphic electronics. We anticipate

The interfacial stability and activity of Ni‐Fe‐based AEMWE anodes can be directly enhanced by operando voltage‐cycling in a FeOOH‐containing electrolyte. This process simultaneously induces Ni oxidation and Fe incorporation, forming an integrated, porous (Fe, Ni)OOH layer with high conductivity and durability.

Hydrogen microsensors with hydrogen sulfide traps
Hydrogen is often formed in sulfidic environments where interference from hydrogen sulfide has prevented its analysis by amperometric hydrogen microsensors. Hydrogen microsensors were made insensitive to hydrogen sulfide by placing a sulfide trap (guard)

In this work, we propose a CMP method for InP using NH4PF₆, which hydrolyzes under In3+ catalysis to form reactive species. These convert InP into low‐binding‐energy fluorides, facilitating removal and dissolution. The process delivers high material removal rates, smooth surfaces, and fluorine passivation that lowers defect density and improves ...

A timeline of hydrogen sulfide (H2S) research: from environmental toxin to biological mediator
The history of H2S - as an environmental toxin - dates back to 1700, to the observations of the Italian physician Bernardino Ramazzini, whose book “De Morbis Artificum Diatriba” described the painful eye irritation and inflammation of “sewer gas” in ...

Spatially controlled sulfonated metal–organic polyhedra (SMOP) coating on sulfur‐loaded hollow carbon spheres form ultrathin, conformal interfacial barriers that selectively confine soluble polysulfides, stabilize sulfur redox, and suppress shuttle reactions.

Complex hydride anion substitution in argyrodite electrolytes has attracted attention for improving interfacial stability, yet the influence of these anions at Li metal interfaces remains unclear. This work shows that electrochemically formed BH4−‐derived interphases enable stable high‐current full‐cell cycling.
