Robot's hand and expansions in non-integer bases
We study a robot hand model in the framework of the theory of expansions in non-integer bases. We investigate the reachable workspace and we study some configurations enjoying form closure properties.Comment: 22 pages, 10 ...

Degradation in blue MR‐TADF OLEDs originates from high triplet density caused by slow RISC. LDI‐TOF MS directly detects host‐ and emitter‐derived fragments, providing molecular insight into how triplet accumulation drives degradation in the emissive layer. ABSTRACT Blue organic light‐emitting diodes (OLEDs) employing multi‐resonance thermally activated

A "Sidewinding" Locomotion Gait for Hyper-Redundant Robots [PDF]
This paper considers the kinematics of a novel form of hyper-redundant mobile robot locomotion which is analogous to the 'sidewinding' locomotion of desert snakes. This form of locomotion can be generated by a repetitive travel wave of mechanism bending.

A Review on Sensor Technologies, Control Approaches, and Emerging Challenges in Soft Robotics
This review provides an introspective of sensors and controllers in soft robotics. Initially describing the current sensing methods, then moving on to the control methods utilized, and finally ending with challenges and future directions in soft robotics focusing on the material innovations, sensor fusion, and embedded intelligence for sensors and ...

A Bifunctional T3SS‐Effector Simultaneously Cleaves Host MAP Kinase and Inhibits PPM1A Phosphatase
Pathogenic bacteria exploit the metalloprotease effector NleD to subvert host defenses. Structural, biochemical, and infection analyses reveal a bifunctional mechanism by which NleD binds and inhibits the host phosphatase PPM1A while preserving its proteolytic activity against MAPKs.

Numerical Shape Planning Algorithm for Hyper-Redundant Robots Based on Discrete Bézier Curve Fitting
The paper proposes a novel numerical method S-GUIDE that provides real-time planning of the shape of hyper-redundant robots with serial architecture by means of a guidance curve, represented in parametrized analytical form and in numerical form by a set ...

An optimization approach for the inverse kinematics of a highly redundant robot [PDF]
This paper describes a robot with 12 degrees of freedom for pick-and-place operations using bricks. In addition, an optimization approach is proposed, which determines the state of each joint (that establishes the pose for the robot) based on the ...

Evaluating the Utilities of Foundation Models in Single‐Cell Data Analysis
This study delivers the first systematic, task‐level evaluation of single‐cell foundation models across eight core analytical tasks. By benchmarking 10 leading models with the scEval framework, it reveals where foundation models truly add value, where task‐specific methods still dominate, and provides concrete, reproducible guidelines to steer the next

Control of hyper-redundant robot using QDSEGA [PDF]
We consider a flexible autonomous system. To realize the system, we employ a hyper-redundant system (a flexible hardware system) and reinforcement learning controller "QDSEGA" (Q-learning with structuring exploration space based on genetic ...
