Negative regulation of hypoxia inducible factor-1α by necdin

open access: yes, 2005
Hypoxia-inducible factor 1 (HIF-1) is a master transcription factor that mediates cellular and systemic homeostatic responses to reduce O2 availability, such as erythropoiesis, angiogenesis, and glycolysis. Using the yeast two-hybrid screening system, we

Mitochondria and Neuromast Tagging With Fluorescent Gallium‐Triapine Analogues: In Cellulo MP FLIM and Zebrafish Live Imaging

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Fluorescent BODIPY‐conjugated thiosemicarbazone ligands and their Ga(III), In(III), and Fe(III) complexes, inspired by Triapine, are developed as theranostic agents. Multiphoton FLIM and confocal microscopy in cancer cells and zebrafish reveal real‐time uptake, mitochondrial localisation, and whilst spectroscopic assays indicated preserved complex ...

Icariin Enhances the Enzymatic Activity of N‐acetylgalactosaminidase to Augment Akkermansia Abundance in Gut Microbiota for Improved PD‐1 Blockade Efficacy in Tumor Suppression

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Icariin promoted the growth of Akk by enhancing the activity of N‐acetylgalactosaminidase (Amuc_0920), which enhanced mucin utilization and provided a favorable nutrient environment for bacterial growth. This icariin‐mediated enrichment of Akk further reshaped the tumor microenvironment and promoted CD8+ T cell infiltration, ultimately synergizing with

Hypoxia Inducible Factor-1α (HIF-1α): A Biomarker for Detection of Malignant Transformation in Oral Submucous Fibrosis

open access: yesPakistan Journal of Medicine and Dentistry
Oral submucous fibrosis (OSMF) is a premalignant condition, which involves the oral cavity as well as pharynx and upper third of the esophagus. It is a predominant disease of South and South-East Asian population.

Regulation of angiogenesis by Id-1 through hypoxia-inducible factor-1α-mediated vascular endothelial growth factor up-regulation in hepatocellular carcinoma

open access: yes, 2006
Purpose: Metastasis is commonly associated with poor prognosis of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Being an important angiogenic factor, vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) plays a central role in HCC growth and metastasis. Recently, Id-1 (inhibitor

Tumor‐Derived LAMB3 Drives Immunosuppressive LRRC15+ Fibroblast Formation During Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma Development

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A single‐cell atlas of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma development reveals progressive ductal‐fibroblast‐immune crosstalk. Tumor‐derived LAMB3 drives the formation of immunosuppressive LRRC15+ fibroblasts through the ITGB1/FAK/MAPK/FOSL2 signaling. Glycolytic reprogramming upregulates LAMB3 and correlates with LRRC15+ fibroblast enrichment.

Molecular Glue cc‐885 Inhibits VHL‐Deficient Clear Cell Renal Cell Carcinoma via ETS1 Degradation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
VHL‐deficient kidney cancer lacks effective treatments. This study reveals that the molecular glue degrader cc‐885 hijacks the cellular recycling system to selectively destroy the oncogenic protein ETS1, effectively killing VHL‐mutant tumors. Combining CC‐885 with the approved drug belzutifan achieves powerful synergy, offering a promising new ...

TSPYL5 Promotes Triple‐Negative Breast Cancer Metastasis by Antagonizing USP10‐Mediated PTEN Stabilization to Unleash a ZEB1‐Dependent EMT Program

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The hyperactivation of PI3K/AKT signaling in PTEN wild‐type triple‐negative breast cancer represents a clinical paradox. We delineate a novel post‐translational regulatory axis wherein the oncogene TSPYL5 competitively antagonizes the deubiquitinase USP10.

Microarray analysis of pathways involved in bladder cancer invasion and metastasis.

open access: yes, 2008
MDHypoxia-inducible genes have been linked to the aggressive phenotype of cancer. However, nearly all work on hypoxia-regulated genes has been conducted in vitro on cell lines.
