Targeting LDHA Palmitoylation Sensitizes GBM to Chemoradiotherapy via Suppressing Palmitic Acid Induced Glycolytic Reprogramming

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Mesenchymal GSCs preferentially uptake palmitic acid, thereby promoting ZDHHC12‐mediated LDHA palmitoylation. This modification enhances LDHA enzymatic activity, drives glycolytic reprogramming, and facilitates exosomal LDHA‐mediated TAM regulation.

Targeting the KAT7/H3K14ac/RAC2 Axis Mediates OXPHOS to Promote Stemness Maintenance and Malignancy in Glioblastoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
SOX2 upregulates KAT7 in glioma stem cells, where KAT7 deposits H3K14 acetylation at the RAC2 promoter to activate RAC2 transcription. RAC2‐GTP subsequently promotes PAK1/2/3 phosphorylation, increasing tricarboxylic acid cycle flux and mitochondrial respiration to support glioblastoma malignancy.

Research Progress and Prospects of Isocitrate Dehydrogenase Gene Mutation in Chondrosarcoma [PDF]

open access: yesZhongguo quanke yixue
Isocitrate dehydrogenase (IDH) is the more mutation-prone human metabolic gene. In the presence of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate (NADPH), mutant IDH can bind to α-ketoglutaric acid (α-KG) and reduce it to 2-hydroxyglutaric ...

Genetic Variants of Na+,K+‐ATPase Associated With Neurological Disorders: A Systematic Review

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Medical Genetics Part B: Neuropsychiatric Genetics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Neurological disorders encompass a wide range of severe symptoms and manifestations, many of which are associated with genetic variants that affect ionic homeostasis. Na+,K+‐ATPase, a transmembrane enzyme responsible for maintaining electrochemical gradients in cells, plays a crucial role in neuronal excitability and brain function.

Fluid attenuation in non-contrast-enhancing tumor (nCET): an MRI Marker for Isocitrate Dehydrogenase (IDH) mutation in Glioblastoma

open access: yes, 2021
The WHO 2016 update classifies glioblastomas (WHO grade IV) according to isocitrate dehydrogenase (IDH) gene mutation status. We aimed to determine MRI-based metrics for predicting IDH mutation in glioblastoma.

Predicting IDH Mutation Status in Low-Grade Gliomas Based on Optimal Radiomic Features Combined with Multi-Sequence Magnetic Resonance Imaging

open access: yesDiagnostics, 2022
The IDH somatic mutation status is an important basis for the diagnosis and classification of gliomas. We proposed a “6-Step” general radiomics model to noninvasively predict the IDH mutation status by simultaneously tuning combined multi-sequence MRI ...

Nasal Tuft Cell Markers Are Predictive of Overall Survival in Sinonasal Neuroendocrine and Sinonasal Undifferentiated Carcinomas

open access: yesInternational Forum of Allergy &Rhinology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Sinonasal neuroendocrine carcinoma (SNEC) and sinonasal undifferentiated carcinoma (SNUC) are rare aggressive malignancies with no established prognostic markers. Because features of POU2F3+ small cell lung carcinomas have been identified in both tumors, we evaluated immunostaining for POU2F3, a tuft cell transcription factor, and ...

From anthelmintic to neuro‐oncology: A systematic review of mebendazole repurposing for brain tumour therapy

open access: yesBritish Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, EarlyView.
Abstract Aim Mebendazole (MBZ), a benzimidazole anthelmintic with established clinical use, has emerged as a repurposing candidate for primary brain tumours due to its multimodal anticancer actions and central nervous system penetrance. This systematic review synthesizes preclinical and clinical evidence evaluating MBZ's efficacy, mechanisms of action ...

DSC-MRI derived relative CBV maps synthesized from IVIM-MRI data:Application in glioma IDH mutation status identification

open access: yes, 2023
Objectives:To develop a framework for obtaining dynamic susceptibility contrast magnetic resonance imaging (DSC-MRI) derived relative cerebral blood volume (rCBV) maps without gadolinium-based contrast agent (GBCA) injection.
