Abstract Myoglobin is photooxidized when exposed to visible light in the presence of a sensitizer. In 8 M urea medium this photooxidation is followed by photodynamic interpeptide crosslinking. A partial inhibition of crosslinking is caused by lysine, mercaptoethanol and hydroxylamine, and by amidination of NH2 groups in the protein molecule. Complete

Computational study of imidazole and methyl imidazoles
Journal of Molecular Structure: THEOCHEM, 1994Abstract A semiempirical and ab initio study of the structures of imidazole, methyl imidazoles and the corresponding protonated and deprotonated ions is presented. The energies of the different isomers and tautomers are discussed and the protonation and deprotonation energies are given.
