Pan-urologic cancer genomic subtypes that transcend tissue of origin [PDF]
Urologic cancers include cancers of the bladder, kidney, prostate, and testes, with common molecular features spanning different types. Here, we show that 1954 urologic cancers can be classified into nine major genomic subtypes, on the basis of ...

Complex branched N-glycans are identified as glyco-immune checkpoints that are used by colorectal cancer cells to evade immune recognition. The data highlight how inhibiting this glycosylation could be a strategy to improve antitumor responses.

We developed and validated a DNA methylation–based biomarker panel to distinguish pleural mesothelioma from other pleural conditions. Using the IMPRESS technology, we translated this panel into a clinically applicable assay. The resulting two classifier models demonstrated excellent performance, achieving high AUC values and strong diagnostic accuracy.

Role of mTOR signaling in tumor microenvironment. An overview [PDF]
The mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR) pathway regulates major processes by integrating a variety of exogenous cues, including diverse environmental inputs in the tumor microenvironment (TME).

Endocrine Toxicity of Cancer Immunotherapy Targeting Immune Checkpoints.
Immune checkpoints are small molecules expressed by immune cells that play critical roles in maintaining immune homeostasis. Targeting the immune checkpoints cytotoxic T-lymphocyte-associated protein 4 (CTLA-4) and programmed death 1 (PD-1) with ...

Alterations of immune response of non-small lung cancer with azacytidine [PDF]
Innovative therapies are needed for advanced Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC). We have undertaken a genomics based, hypothesis driving, approach to query an emerging potential that epigenetic therapy may sensitize to immune checkpoint therapy targeting

TREX1, a predator for treating MSI‐H tumors?
Immunotherapy benefits many patients; yet, some with MSI‐H tumors remain unresponsive despite their high immunogenicity. Xu et al. reveal that TREX1 enables immune evasion by degrading cytosolic DNA and suppressing cGAS–STING–IFN‐I signaling. TREX1 loss restores DNA sensing, increases CD8+ T and NK cell infiltration, and boosts antitumor immunity ...

Metabolic checkpoints in immune cell reprogramming: rewiring immunometabolism for cancer therapy
Immune cell metabolism plays a pivotal role in regulating cellular proliferation, differentiation, and functional responses, collectively shaping immune responses within the tumor microenvironment (TME). Recent advancements increasingly highlight diverse
