A 3D Human Bone and Bone Marrow‐on‐a‐Chip Model for In Vitro Bone Remodeling and Immune Cell Maintenance

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 51, 14 September 2026.
This study presents a human Bone (and Bone Marrow)‐on‐a‐Chip model based on native human bone scaffolds and autologous cells. Dynamic perfusion and sequential cell seeding replicate the physiological bone remodeling process in vitro, enabling the long‐term culture of functional, mature bone marrow immune subpopulations.

Bone progression in multiple myeloma: Benefit of zoledronic acid for patients achieving at least Very Good Partial Response and prognostic value of bone turnover markers

open access: yesBritish Journal of Haematology, Volume 209, Issue 3, Page 1076-1084, September 2026.
Summary The Magnolia study demonstrated that continuation of zoledronic acid (ZOL) beyond 2 years reduces the risk of progressive bone disease (PBD) in patients with multiple myeloma (MM). This follow‐up study investigated the effects of ZOL in patients achieving very good partial response (VGPR) compared to patients who did not and whether bone ...

Atorvastatin pre-exposure in hypercholesterolemia remedies 27HC mediated dendritic cell dysfunctions in triple-negative breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Therapy: Oncology
Early inception of hypercholesterolemia has led to prevalent statin pre-exposure among cancer patients. Furthermore, emerging associations between increased circulating cholesterol, dyslipidemia, and cancer recurrence have spurred the repurposing of ...

Evolving patient journey in the management of active perianal fistulizing Crohn's disease: A temporal perspective

open access: yesColorectal Disease, Volume 28, Issue 9, September 2026.
Abstract Background Over recent decades, there has been a more pronounced shift towards earlier therapeutic intervention in luminal Crohn's disease (CD). However, it remains unclear if similar strategies apply to active perianal fistulizing CD (pCD). This study explores the patient journey by assessing pCD management across diagnostic time periods in a

BODIPY‐based J‐aggregates: From supramolecular chemistry to NIR bioimaging and phototherapies

open access: yesBulletin of the Korean Chemical Society, Volume 47, Issue 8, Page 951-982, August 2026.
BODIPY dyes form ordered J‐aggregates through controlled supramolecular self‐assembly, producing narrow, red‐shifted absorption bands with small Stokes shifts. This review highlights design strategies governing J‐aggregation, structure–property relationships, and applications in sensing, bioimaging, and phototherapy, guiding functional BODIPY‐based ...
