VH-RELATED IDIOTOPES DETECTED BY SITE-DIRECTED MUTAGENESIS [PDF]
The function of the CD4 cell surface protein as coreceptor on T helper lymphocytes and as receptor for HIV makes this glycoprotein a prime target for an immune intervention with mAb.

Renal Expression of Light Chain Binding Proteins
Overproduction of human light chains (LCs) and immunoglobulins can result in various forms of renal disease such as cast nephropathy, monoclonal immunoglobulin deposition disease, LC proximal tubulopathy, AL amyloidosis, and crystal storing histiocytosis.

Virus-transformed pre-B cells show ordered activation but not inactivation of immunoglobulin gene rearrangement and transcription [PDF]
Virus-transformed pre-B cells undergo ordered immunoglobulin (Ig) gene rearrangements during culture. We devised a series of highly sensitive polymerase chain reaction assays for Ig gene rearrangement and unrearranged Ig gene segment transcription to ...

Agarose gel serum protein electrophoresis in cats with and without lymphoma and preliminary results of tandem mass fingerprinting analysis [PDF]
Background: Serum electrophoretic profiles in cats are poorly characterized with respect to the protein components of the globulin fractions, and interpretation of the electrophoretograms has routinely been done in ignorance of the ...

Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

Multiple-alphabet amino acid sequence comparisons of the immunoglobulin kappa-chain constant domain. [PDF]
We compare the amino acid sequences of the constant domains of the immunoglobulin kappa chain of human, mouse, and rabbit by using four classification schemes ("alphabets") of the 20 amino acids based on their chemical, functional, charge, and structural properties. The comparison reveals three regions of pronounced similarity across the three species,

Real‐World Performance of CSF Kappa Free Light Chains in the 2024 McDonald Criteria
ABSTRACT Objective Kappa free light chains (KFLCs) in the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) have a similar performance to CSF‐restricted oligoclonal bands (OCB) for multiple sclerosis (MS) diagnosis. To help with implementation, we set out to resolve several remaining uncertainties: (1) performance in a real‐world cohort and the 2024 McDonald criteria; (2 ...

Subgroup Analysis in Multiple Myeloma Patients under Sixty Years: A Single-Center Study
Introduction:Multiple myeloma (MM) constitutes approximately 10% of hematological malignan-cies with abnormal proliferation of plasma cells, which causes an abnormal increase of monoclonal immunoglobulin light chains.
