This study investigates the structural, elastic, and piezoelectric properties of Sc‐doped wurtzite nitrides using first‐principles calculations. A strong compositional dependence of elastic and piezoelectric coefficients is observed, with significant nonlinearities providing insights into the tunability of these materials for piezoelectric applications.

Multi‐Task Learning for Airport Surface Surveillance: A Review
ABSTRACT The rapid growth of air transportation has surpassed the capabilities of traditional airport surveillance methods, such as visual observation and auxiliary equipment (e.g., ADS‐B, MLAT, radar), which struggle to provide all‐area, all‐weather situation awareness.

Reuse of Water as Part of a Water Sustainability Strategy: Experiences of Germany and Poland
ABSTRACT Wastewater can provide an alternative supply of scarce water resources, particularly for operations that do not require high‐quality water. The uptake in wastewater usage is likely to be driven by a combination of public and private sector actors via internal actions and external collaborations.

Autonomous planetary rovers operate in GPS‐denied, low‐texture, crater‐rich environments where traditional SLAM‐based navigation systems suffer from localization drift and unreliable obstacle handling. To address these challenges, this work proposes a Space‐ROS–based autonomous navigation framework integrating ROS2 with the NAV2 stack, RTAB‐Map visual ...

Study of Robot Path Planning with Improved A* And DWA Algorithm Fusion
For some problems of the traditional A* algorithm in robot path planning, such as inefficient search, many and complex inflection points in the designed and realized paths, as well as the inability to complete real-time dynamic path planning for obstacle avoidance, this paper proposes an improved A algorithm and combines it with Floyd for path rounding,

Towards Early Mobility Independence: An Intelligent Paediatric Wheelchair with Case Studies
Standard powered wheelchairs are still heavily dependent on the cognitive capabilities of users. Unfortunately, this excludes disabled users who lack the required problem-solving and spatial skills, particularly young children.

Completion of evaluation of manufacturing processes for B/Al composites containing 0.2mm diameter boron fibers [PDF]
Four fabricators produced a total of 54 B/1100 Al, B/6061 Al, and B/2024 Al panels for evaluation. The 8 ply unidirectional, 45 to 50 volume percent, panels were made using 0.20 mm diameter boron fibers which were obtained from a single supplier.
