The nod-like receptor family pyrin domain containing 3 (NLRP3) is currently the most widely studied inflammasome and has become a hot topic of recent research. As a macromolecular complex, the NLRP3 inflammasome is activated to produce downstream factors,

Epidemiological data confirm obesity elevates thoracic aortic dissection (TAD) risk. Patient analyses implicate hyperleptinemia, where leptin binding to vascular smooth muscle cell (VSMC) receptors triggers Socs3‐mediated suppression of Stat5a transcriptional activity.

This work identifies a novel mechanism by which dopamine D1 receptor (DRD1) contributes to the pathogenesis of glucocorticoid (GC)‐associated osteonecrosis of the femoral head (ONFH) through the regulation of osteoblastic apoptosis, indicating that DRD1 serves as a critical mediator of the crosstalk between the nervous and skeletal systems.

Gasdermin D (GSDMD) does not only reduce pancreatic enzyme synthesis but also induces pancreatic acinar cells to express mucin 1 (MUC1), which forms a barrier to prevent digestive enzyme‐mediated digestion. However, GSDMD can promote the secretion of inflammatory cytokines by macrophages and aggravate pancreatic histological injury by expanding ...

Cisplatin causes reactive oxygen species accumulation, leading to apoptosis and inflammation in cochlear hair cells. Small extracellular vesicles primarily derived from the damaged hair cells likely contribute to cisplatin‐induced ototoxicity, carrying a variety of microRNAs and proteins.

Aging is associated with systemic chronic, low-grade inflammation, termed ‘inflammaging’. This pattern of inflammation is multifactorial and is driven by numerous inflammatory pathways, including the inflammasome.
