AIF1+CSF1R+ MSCs, induced by TNF‐α, act to generate an inflammatory microenvironment and promote hepatocarcinogenesis

open access: yesHepatology, EarlyView., 2022
Mesenchymal stem cells subset, educated by TNF‐α, are involved to generate inflammatory microenvironment and promote hepatocarcinogenesis Abstract Background and Aims Increasing evidence suggests that mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) home to injured local tissues and the tumor microenvironment in the liver.

Inflammasomes, neutrophil extracellular traps, and cholesterol

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 2019
Activation of macrophage inflammasomes leads to interleukin (IL)-1β and IL-18 secretion and promotes atherosclerosis and its complications in mice and humans.

UTX Responds to Nanotopography to Suppress Macrophage Inflammatory Response by Remodeling H3K27me3 Modification

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Compared with those on the pTi surface, macrophages on the TNTs surface present reduced myosin II contractility, which facilitates the nuclear translocation of the UTX. This reduction decreases the enrichment of the repressive H3K27me3 histone modification at the Abca1 gene locus, which promotes the transcription and protein expression of ABCA1 ...

Interleukin‐18 signaling promotes activation of hepatic stellate cells in mouse liver fibrosis

open access: yesHepatology, EarlyView., 2022
Interleukin‐18 signaling promotes activation of hepatic stellate cells in mouse liver fibrosis. Abstract Background and Aims Nucleotide‐binding oligomerization domain‐like receptor‐family pyrin domain‐containing 3 (NLRP3) inflammasome activation has been shown to result in liver fibrosis.

Volumetric Engineered 3D Drug Reservoir Against Diabetic Implant Infection via Cuproptosis‐Like Bacterial Death and Hunger‐Triggered Maintenance of Mitochondrial Integrity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study provides a volumetric engineered 3D drug reservoir to combat diabetic implant infection. Cu‐doped quantum dots induce cuproptosis‐like bacterial death via metabolic collapse, while glucose oxidase triggers hunger‐triggered mitochondrial protection in host cells.
