Role of SLAM Family Receptors and Specific Adapter SAP in Innate-Like Lymphocytes

Critical Reviews in Immunology, 2014
Innate-like lymphocytes, which comprise an integral part of the immune system, possess unique developmental and functional capabilities that set them apart from conventional T and B lymphocytes. Strategically located to act as a first line of defense against pathogens, they behave as innate cells.

Innate-like Lymphocytes and Innate Lymphoid Cells in Asthma

Clinical Reviews in Allergy & Immunology, 2019
Asthma is a chronic pulmonary disease, highly associated with immune disorders. The typical symptoms of asthma include airway hyperresponsiveness (AHR), airway remodeling, mucus overproduction, and airflow limitation. The etiology of asthma is multifactorial and affected by genetic and environmental factors. Increasing trends toward dysbiosis, smoking,

The Role of IL-4 Signaling in CD8+ Innate-Like Lymphocyte Development.

Blood, 2012
Abstract Abstract 2161 The innate and adaptive arms of the immune system collaborate to protect the host against invading pathogens and perform immune surveillance against malignant transformation. As key effectors of the adaptive immune system, conventional T cells develop in the thymus and exit to the periphery as naïve

Stress-elicited glucocorticoid receptor signaling upregulates TIGIT in innate-like invariant T lymphocytes

Brain, Behavior, and Immunity, 2019
Stress is known to impede certain host defense mechanisms, including those governed by conventional T lymphocytes. However, whether innate-like T lymphocytes, such as invariant natural killer T (iNKT) and mucosa-associated invariant T (MAIT) cells, are impacted by stress is unclear.

Identification of a Developmentally-Restricted Hematopoietic Stem Cell That Gives Rise to Innate-like Lymphocytes

Blood, 2014
Abstract The generation of innate-like immune cells distinguishes fetal hematopoiesis from adult hematopoiesis, but the cellular mechanisms underlying differential cell production during development remain to be established. Specifically, whether differential lymphoid output arises as a consequence of discrete hematopoietic stem cell ...

Fetal lymphocyte progenitors efficiently generate innate-like B cells but make a more limited contribution to the production of conventional lymphocytes

Experimental Hematology
Various progenitor populations with lymphoid potential emerge in multiple waves of fetal development and can do so independent from hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs). This review compares and contrasts data from our analysis of a mutant mouse in which fetal but not adult lymphopoiesis is intact with results from lineage tracing studies.

[Frequency Distribution Features of Innate-like Lymphocytes in Peripheral Blood of Normal Adults].

Zhongguo shi yan xue ye xue za zhi, 2016
To investigate the frequency distribution features of innate-like lymphocytes (iNKT cells, γΔT cells and B1 cells) in peripheral blood of normal adults. The flow cytometry with 6 fluorescence staining was used to detect the percentages of iNKT lymphocytes, γΔT lymphocytes, B1 lymphocytes and adaptive T lymphocyte, B2 lymphocytes in peripheral blood ...

Control of the Development, Distribution, and Function of Innate-Like Lymphocytes and Innate Lymphoid Cells by the Tissue Microenvironment

Recently, considerable attention has been directed toward innate-like T cells (ITCs) and innate lymphoid cells (ILCs) owing to their indispensable contributions to immune responses, tissue homeostasis, and inflammation. Innate-like T cells include NKT cells, MAIT cells, and γδ T cells, whereas ILCs include NK cells, type 1 ILCs (ILC1s), type 2 ILCs ...
