Biophysical approaches for studying viral entry
Viruses infect all living organisms and have been responsible for major epidemics and pandemics. Their ongoing evolutionary battle with host defenses creates a constant need for improved tools to study viral behavior. Advancing methods to probe viral attachment, fusion, and genome release deepen our understanding of how infections begin and support the

Model selection mechanism of Interactive Multiple Load Modeling
Abstract Accurate load modeling with fluctuate loads has been one of the most challenging problems of modern power system. In this paper, a model selection mechanism is proposed for the Interacting Multiple Load Modeling (IMLM), to achieve the adaptive adjustment of best model set. A large number of models with different characteristics are chosen to

The human gut microbiome across the life course
Despite significant individual variation and continuous change throughout life, the human gut microbiome follows some life stage‐specific trends. This article provides a brief overview of how gut microbiome composition shifts across different phases of life. Created in BioRender. Özkurt, E. (2026) https://BioRender.com/8q4nrnc.

Heterogeneous Multiple Sensors Joint Tracking of Maneuvering Target in Clutter
To solve the problem of tracking maneuvering airborne targets in the presence of clutter, an improved interacting multiple model probability data association algorithm (IMMPDA-MDCM) using radar/IR sensors fusion is proposed.

Septin 9 polybasic domains couple phosphoinositide‐rich membrane binding to centrosome positioning, Golgi organization, and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity. Their loss disrupts this axis, causing centrosome mispositioning, Golgi fragmentation, reduced microtubule acetylation, and polarity inversion via upregulation of the ...

Aircraft Health Monitoring System Using Interacting Multiple Model Estimation [PDF]
An effective approach for modeling and simulating failure detection and identification (FDI) of aircraft components is presented. A telescoping main landing gear and pressure control system is modeled and simulated subject to various fault conditions ...

Degradation mechanism of the von Willebrand factor A2 domain by nattokinase
Nattokinase, a natto‐derived protease, exhibits potent antithrombotic effects. This study demonstrates that nattokinase directly cleaves the von Willebrand factor (vWF) A2 domain in vitro. Unlike the native regulator ADAMTS13, nattokinase degrades folded vWF independently of shear stress.

The central limit theorem for the Smoluchovski coagulation model [PDF]
The general model of coagulation is considered. For basic classes of unbounded coagulation kernels the central limit theorem (CLT) is obtained for the fluctuations around the dynamic law of large numbers (LLN) described by the Smoluchovski equation.
